So You Think You Can Dance - "Vegas" (6/6) and "The Top 20" (6/7)

Wow!

Alot of surprises tonight... some of the good ones were dropping like flies.

They whittled the Vegas crowd down to 50 dancers and will name their Top 20 tomorrow night.

I'm not going to spoil anything yet, but we can talk later.

Jessie Peralta continues to impress the judges. She is a beautiful girl, and I know she can really dance, but I havent seen any of the moves that she is capable of doing. Shane called her the "sickest girl out there". I'm a thinking she is going to the finals.

For some reason Jessie Peralta did not really impress me much. Maybe it's just the style.

Lauren Gottlieb (the one that was fighting with the hip-hop guy about choreography) is cute as hell as has some nice moves, I hope she moves on.

Mia Micahels is unbearable to watch - she is just so biased toward any lyrical dancer, and if you can't dance lyrical, well, you can't dance to her.

On the days where she is judging, time to fire up the 30 second skip on the DVR - she is just so annoying.

Lyrical dance is strange. Basically if you convulse strangely and show emotion it's good. Never really got it.
I've just got to say that I love this show. I could watch three hours of it. Dunno why more people don't watch.
I wonder if that really young looking 18 year old blonde girl got cut. She reminded me of Allison Hannigan (personality and looks). Goofy, but cute.

I agree. There were a few lovely routines last summer in that style, but generally I cringe when that style comes on. And Mia's attitude about it all just turns me off even more to the whole thing.

Couldn't agree more - she is the snob of all snobs - if I didn't like all the other judges so much, and the show in general, she would be enough to make me stop watching - thank goodness for DVR's and mute buttons.

I wonder if "Salt n' Pepa" are going to judge this year? They were always good for a laugh.

The one great thing about last year was tha Benji won over the other lyrical guy. Not because I had anything against him, but you know it made Mia angry. A fun dancer that everyone enjoyed won over the "lyrical, sensitive dancer" the humanity!

I will be a very happy camper if they top Wade Robsons numbers from last year "Sexy Back" and Ramalamba Bama ( or something like that) AMAZZING choreography.... I'll try to find videos for those of you who missed it last year.

My HD feed was out last night, but it's back on now!

Can't wait to see who the Top 20 will be (and to see if the Spurs can pull off a win tonight against King James).

Mia and Dan The Ahole are the worse judges in SYTYCD. Dan doesn't give any constructive critiques and Mia is too bias.

Where is that sexy ballad room dancer Anya (sp?) from NY?

I can't believe they didn't send the 18 year old high school girl to the top 20. That was BS imo.

Man, Twitch blew me away with his solo. I was really pulling for him to make it.

Interesting top 20 this year. Looks like they put through 4 hip hop guys and 3 ballroom and 1 hip hop girl.

Our local girl Jessie continues to represent!! I think her personality comes across pretty cute on air. She has the most amazing eyes.
