The Shield S6E9 - Recoil

Big episode tonight. Do not miss the last 10 minutes!!! :)

stingermck 05-29-07 09:57 PM

What a fantastic ass on Tina.....

Holy shit! My mouth is as wide open as Aceveda's!

MovieExchange 05-29-07 10:06 PM

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!

I thought Shane setting off his next major clusterfuck was bad enough.... but oh my god, the shit really hit the fan now.

And Tina... oh man, what an ass!

harrydoyle 05-29-07 10:07 PM

This season of The Shield deserves to win every Emmy. Give it the comedy ones too. Holy cow. This might be on par with The Wire Season 3, the greatest season of dramatic TV of my lifetime.

devilshalo 05-29-07 10:13 PM

What comes around... I knew that wasn't the last we'd hear/see about Aceveda's incident. God, Shane just doesn't think at all.. and when all is said and done, shit rolls downhill and Shane's at the bottom looking up.

To all network shows, this is how you plan out a storyline.

harrydoyle 05-29-07 10:15 PM

True dat on the storyline, true dat. I've never seen a show that has built everything up to have it all to come together so well.

Tommy Ceez 05-29-07 10:18 PM

Fucking Billings

Fucking Tina

NEXT WEEKS PREVIEW: Holy Fucking Shit!!!!!

DthRdrX 05-29-07 10:28 PM

Billings ... the evil genious

MrX 05-29-07 10:51 PM

The look on Dutch and Hiatt's faces were great:lol:

uhftv 05-29-07 11:00 PM

i thought hiatt was gonna invite him in

Ranger 05-29-07 11:13 PM

I knew to expect the pic, but wow, did not expect Billings to do that.

It was enough for Billings to have a big smile at that, but it'd have been awesome to have him tilt his head back and cackle madly.

wm lopez 05-29-07 11:23 PM

They said next is the season finale.
I thought it would be the series finale.
Will THE SHIELD be back next year?

Yep season 7 is the last season.

slop101 05-29-07 11:33 PM

How can Vic trust that picture? I mean, we know it's real, but how would Vic? I can photoshop a picture like that if I wanted to...

Patman 05-29-07 11:35 PM

Billings would have made a good Ferengi.

slop101 05-29-07 11:44 PM

BTW, next week's season finale is supposed to be about 100 minutes long, so if your DVR doesn't catch it, pad accordingly.

That's true ....

Silt 05-30-07 01:25 AM

Damn, this show is just amazing...it just seems to always get better.

Billings is great, that dude is just gold!

Tina and that ass!

Shane telling her about the money train!?! I thought for a second he was going to realize what he had done and shoot her.

And finally!! Finally that pic of that smug mfer Acevada surfaces!! Hopefully it's used to save Vic's job..then copies of it finds it way on every telephone pole in the district.

Next week is going to be one insane episode, I can't wait!

Doesn't really matter. Hand it over to a tabloid and spread the word. False or not, it's gonna hurt Aceveda's political career

DirecTiVo warning:

My DirecTivo wasn't planning on recording next week's episode. For whatever reason, it doesn't think that the episode matches my Shield season pass. I even tried recreating the season pass using that episode in the schedule, and it STILL didn't think the episode matched the season pass. Maybe it would have straightened itself out in time, but I just set up a recording on my own...

starseed1981 05-30-07 08:19 AM

Oh man, Vic getting that pic is sweet.

But I think the highlight of the episode was definitley Dutch's face. Classic.

Doc MacGyver 05-30-07 09:42 AM

I love love LOVE that they didn't reference Aceveda's gun-point pipe cleaning in the "previously on"... a lesser show would have had less faith in their viewing audience.

Doc

excellent point.

ABC, NBC, CBS, etc should really be taking notes on how to edit promos from this show.

as soon as Aceveda's "buddy" pulled out that manilla envelope, I instantly knew what was in it and literally stood up, pointed at the TV, and exclaimed, "Holy Shit!" I have NEVER had a reaction like that before. I knew that picture would eventually show up, but the "when and where" totally shocked me - and that does not happen often.

I swear - Ronnie just continues to be more of a badass every week. He is gonna throw some shit down before its all said and done.

*golf clap* for the entire crew behind this show.

Exact same reaction my buddies and I had. I love a show that treats its audience and their intelligence with respect. It only made the realization of that moment all the better.

Yeah man, Lem's death and Shane's turn to the dark side has been the best thing to happen to Ronnie's character. I'm still in love with his reaction to finding out about Terry's death. "If you had told me I could have protected you better." The guy is loyal to a fault.

Oh, and regarding the previews for next week, (just speculation)
Spoiler:
Does anyone think that the whole, "Shane's going after my family"/missing-kids-with-blood-on-the-floor thing is a feint, and that Shane's actually going to protect them from Run-Armenian-Run and that's what will repair the gap between Vic and Shane?
