This was a great episode.
The ratings, of course, were dreadful. |
Never has a title of a television episode been so reflective of what the episode actually contained. This was just booooorrrring. The only things half-way interesting were Jack and Tim Busfield's scenes together. Are we supposed to think that Janney and Busfield have some cosmic connection that has bridged the TWW and S60 universes? Just stuuuuupiid.
It's obvious that the studio asked for them to do an episode without the big $$$ makers to see if the show would be worth keeping while dropping the main characters. They got their answer in this episode and were 100% right to cancel this POS series. I couldn't wait for this episode to be over - even fast forwarding through the commercials seemed to take forever. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for this series to do something, but it never did. Now I'm just waiting for the last 5 eps to air so that I can move on and act like it never happened. |
I wasn't paying attention when The West Wing was on the air. Did it polarize people like Studio 60 did? Man, people either really love it or really hate it.

No, I don't believe WW rated well with conservatives or most Republicans for that matter. I recognized it as liberal idealism, but the writing was so sharp that I could look past their political mistakes. ;)
Seriously, it would be interesting to see how WW did in a red/blue state breakdown. |

I didnt think the show lived up to my expectations either when it first premiered but I stated getting into it when they had that first 2 parter about that one guy who gets arrested. They started gettin into the minor characters that were in the show who were unknowns compared to the big name stars.
I thought the Christmas show was really well done. I dont remember much after that. |

Why would the stars of a network tv show that has a 22 episode season only have it in there contracts to be in 21 of those episodes?

I'm just guessing, of course. |
