So am I the only one that thinks that Hiro is about to meet Kensei, who looked to be played by George Takei?

ANY comic book fan would have known that Sylar was NOT going to die tonight. You just don't kill good villians.

He'll be back...

I though it had something with her touching people and being able to will them to do something she wanted. Similar to the one that shot herself, but thru touch, not speech.

I felt like this episode was just running out the clock, so a little bit underwhelmed by the last 15 minutes.

At least Nikki has got her head on straight now.

Will Parkman survive? It looked like he was wearing a kevlar vest.

Even if Nathan were able to fly high enough and then let Peter go, he probably succumbed to radiation poisoning.

I liked the look in Molly's eye whe Micah showed off his power over elevators.

Looks like Isaac's comic was true to form, even if it took a while to get there.

Volume 2 appears to delve into past "heroes" and how generation of powers were passed down the line (or not).

So does mama Petrilli have any powers or not?

I was watching her. It almost seemed like she has the power of persuasion, but not like mini-Bilson did. Twice tonight she put both her hands on someone's back and got them to see her side of things it seemed. Once with Nathan and once with Claire I think.

Or it was just a coincidence.

I think Nathan dies. They both acknowledged that would happen. I was thinking how I was gonna miss Sylar and all his badass self. The cockroach was probably symbolism that Sylar cant be killed.

And yes, I agree, best damn show ever...in the universe....

The end (in a very, very vague sense) reminded me of the end of Evil Dead 2.

Yeah I noticed that as a flaw in the theory. Maybe it only works on the weak-minded or Claire was able to "heal" herself from the effect once she stopped touching her?

I think that the original plan was to have the show focus on the previous generation of heroes, but that they decided to keep this cast around because of the way the fans have responded to the characters. I could be wrong, but the intro to Volume 2 with Hiro seems to add creedence to that.

I think we will start to see glimpses of some of the older Heroes in the next chapter. I am guessing the one that can see the little girl is actually the one the spoiled their plans to work for a better world.

I'm not feeling the powers of persuasion thing with Ma Patrelli. I think that Claire and Nathan just realized that there was nothing they could do or say to her to change her mind about how things were going down, so they just said what she wanted to hear and waited until the time was right to do what they were going to do.

Have to say I was sorta underwhelmed. They'd hinted at a true Peter-Sylar showdown... and that's all we got. I had long hoped that the season finale would consist of the other Heroes holding Sylar off while Peter rushed to get there and handle things in a final showdown.

Oh well, at least we know HRG's name, Noah Bennett, although it was being hinted at when he told Peter how much he owed him.

And if I have to guess, then the one who can see the little girl is
Spoiler:
Peter's mom.

The fight was fine... These are people who are just getting to know their powers and dont know how to use them really. The fight in the future was the way it was because there are people who have honed their skills over time so they will have much better control over them. Sure a bit underwhelming but I dont think anything could have met them. Great episode, and I really liked everyone coming together at the end and hope to see more of that next season and cant wait for Chapter 2.

Story reason: It's hard to shoot your brother/uncle/friend... even if he's going to kill millions of people.

Real reason: To get him and his brother off-screen, so you can spend all summer wondering if they're dead.

add me to the list of those that were letdown a bit, particularly by the prospect of Sylar living.

Glad to see Nathan go.

I've read the script for next season's premiere and ...

Spoiler:
Hiro and Kensei try to fight off the opposing army, but there are too many soliders. Then, just when all looks lost, the Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles show up.

I agree. Very much a let down episode after so many recent great ones. Most bizarre for me was Nathan's sacrificing himself by flying up his brother; it wouldn't have been better to shoot Peter there on the ground than for both him AND his brother to die?? I don't get it.

I'm pretty sure it's the same reason they couldn't just shoot Ted in the Bennet house. Didn't they say that if Ted was simply shot, he would become unstable and blow anyway?

When he said Noah I had the feeling it was supposed to mean something to us. Has there been mention of a Noah previously?

A couple of weeks ago, she had Claire ready to pack her bags and head to Paris. Tonight, when Noah* Bennett called, she had Claire hand over the phone. I think it's pretty clear that she's got some sort of persuasion powers, though they obviously cannot make someone remain persuaded in the long term.
