The show Rashida Jones is doing doesn't start airing until next Spring so it'll be a long time before it gets canceled. I suppose she could come back after she finishes her 13 episodes this Summer/Fall.

Any other Manager from another branch would be better qualified.
So......
I think the ending is Corporate offering the job to someone and we see Ryan accepting another job somewhere else at the end of the episode.
We are assuming that because the CFO said "MBA" and Ryan has an "MBA" and shown on the phone that he is the one who got the job! No Way - Just Does not happen -
Trust me I went to Cornell

Completely didn't see the Ryan thing coming, there's plenty of comedy potential in having Ryan as Michael's boss now.

Did Melora get a boob job, excuse me , enhancement or was she wearing a really good push up bra?
Dawesome ending to an excellent season ender. My favorite part was Jim coming back and asking Pam out. Ryan at the very end was a close second.
Is it September yet?!?

Jim: Okay, just so I understand it. In your wildest fantasy, you are in hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
Dwight: Yeah, but I haven’t told you my salary yet.
Jim: Go.
Dwight: $80,000 a year.

Of course they could also just have Ryan abruptly show up back in Scranton in the season premiere, implying that the promotion didn't work out.

LOVED this episode. Everything about it was gold. I loved Jim going along with Kevin's hottness speculation, Pam's talking heads and willingness to play along with Dwight's insanity, Michael's look of sheer terror when Jan broke down in his car, Creed's Word document blog (there are people at my job that I could fool with this too), Meredith's "in my experience, people are more interested in the back of you" and Kelly's shriek of "What?!?" with Ryan's shit-eating grin at the end.
Oh, and of course I have to mention Pam's face after Jim asked her out - I damn near teared up myself. Here's hoping they stop the "will they or won't they" nonsense and actually depict a healthy relationship on a television show for once.

The Office star Jenna Fischer has fractured her back in four places after falling down a set of stairs in a New York bar on Tuesday. The actress, who plays Pam Beesly in the Emmy Award-winning U.S. comedy, was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan after the fall at Buddakan. Her representative tells the New York Daily News, "She avoided anything scary near the spine and she'll make a full recovery in time to shoot season four of The Office this summer." Fischer most recently appeared onscreen in hit comedy Blades Of Glory opposite Will Ferrell and Jon Heder.

I'm not sure where the writers could really go with the storyline that might not piss off the show's fans. If Jim and Pam just end up having the storybook romance for which they seem destined, they would quickly become dry and boring. On the other hand, if they get together and have the typical conflicts that realistically arise from office romances, that might leave the bad aftertaste of too much drama overshadowing the comedy of the show, and could well turn everyone off on the two most relatable characters on the show.
I'm not saying it would be impossible to do it successfully. But it would also be tough not to screw up the good chemistry of the show, and possibly ruin a big part of why people tune in every week.

Hopefully Jim/Pam will get together and they will just not make it a focal point in upcoming episodes. They will probably have a somewhat normal relationship so why even write material regarding it. Much better comedy with Jan/Michael, Kelly/Ryan, Dwigt/Angela anyway so focus on those.

With the abundance of characters they have to balance Jim/Pam, I think they might actually be able to pull it off. Unfortunately, though, you are probably right. They will pull the same will they?/won't they? crap because it's safe and crowd pleasing.

LOL @ Corporate burning to the ground! "Fire Guy..."
Classic Dwigt calling 'Time. Nope, you failed.' just as Andy was beating him at arm wrestling.
Regarding Karen, she did mention that she couldn't stay in Scranton because there was 1 too many people there, and NOT Kevin.
Who's that?
That, is 'Beardy.'
Beardy? I'm gonna introduce myself.
No, no. Just... That's not his real name. That's just what I call him.

Loved this episode, and I can't wait for next season. I'm also looking forward to the DVD set for S3, and associated extras.
