So wait, what becomes of Ryan? Does he remain on as a character? I ask because he's penned some of the series' best episodes and I'd hate to think he was leaving.
Thought they handled the Jim/Pam thing very well. Avoided making it too sappy or cliche.
And damn, I want some Schrute Bucks.

We then cut to a smiling Ryan who accepts the job. He then, without even turning around, tells Kelly "we're done". Then we see him with a little grin as she freaks out in the background. Cut to black.

Actually, since Ryan got Jan's job, is it more likely he'll just swing by the Scranton branch now and again? Ryan as Michael's boss has some great potential now that I think of it. I wonder what they do with Jan.

Some stuff from the live Blog:
second ending
We did write and shoot an alternate ending, but it differed only in the how it happened, not in what happened.
Creed's blogs have been copied and can be found on nbc.com/the_office. In fact, there will be a lot more stuff on nbc.com this year we thihnk.
Yes we will have a bunch of hour long episodes next year. They seemed to work for the finale and when we combined Traveling Salesmen and The Return that time. In future years, the plan is to gradulaly spread out over all of nbc's schedule, like csi.

I don't like the idea of Ryan getting hired:
1) He was a TEMP who went to undergrad for 4 years and then went on to get his MBA - He has NOT made 1 sale and has no work experience. These people are useless in the working world and rarely get hired into serious Management Positions (Unless they went to one of the top 10 MBA schools)
Any other Manager from another branch would be better qualified.
So......
I think the ending is Corporate offering the job to someone and we see Ryan accepting another job somewhere else at the end of the episode.
We are assuming that because the CFO said "MBA" and Ryan has an "MBA" and shown on the phone that he is the one who got the job! No Way - Just Does not happen -
Trust me I went to Cornell

All in all, a little disappointing of an episode for me. Not to many LOL moments...with Jan it was more WTF? moments.

Oh, and as an eBay seller, I got a good laugh out of Michael's comment that he was probably going to get some negative feedback for backing out of the sale.

And my immediate reaction to the ending was Bobby Ewing in the shower. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a red herring, wouldn't be surprised if it's legit.....

fantastic episode, liked it more then Casino Night, Fantastic episode. So glad Jim and Pam got together, Loved that moment (I cant wait till season 4) Hopefully they start right where this episode left off. Lots of great moments with Dwight, Jan and Micheal and even Kevin. Liked Creed talking about him liking real breast more.
Finally Jim and Pam going out on a date. I cant wait, I hope they start right where this episode left off.

My guess would be that we'll see Ryan next season about as often as we saw Jan this year. I think the tables will eventually turn and we'll find that he's in hopelessly over his head. Michael will end up saving the day for him somehow using his inborn sales talent, and they'll promote Ryan up even farther. That sounds about right to me.

I also liked how the Jim/Pam getting together was similar to the Tim/Dawn get together in the British version, only reversed, with Jim getting a personal note from Pam and realizing what he truly wanted.

I just started watching The Office the week before the beach episode. I guess I need to get caught up. It's been pretty funny so far.
