The Amazing Race DVDTalk Team

Ok, so I'm going through Amazing Race withdraw....

Why not form a DVDTalk Amazing Race team? I'd definately be down for that. I could easily knock out any challenge they've ever done on the show, not to mention that I'm really good at navigation, geography, I speak spanish fluently and Greek and Turkish enough to get around, and I can drive a stick. What else? I'm an engineer so I can build things, and I fly constantly, so I know how to book flights online really well. I'm pretty sure I'd be an Amazing Race superstar.

So, do you want to be on my team? What qualifications do you have that would make you an ideal teammate (or a better teammate to pair with someone else on here?)

How do we get on the race? What would our angle be?

What would it say under our title? Some suggestions: "Never Met in Real Life", "Internet Posters", "Hates Charla and Mirna", "Nerds", or something along those lines.

Internet posters wouldnt be a bad angle

Patman 05-14-07 09:58 PM

I can read maps and navigate. I snore.

I can drive an automatic, I make award-winning chili, and I'm not afraid to use my sexuality to get what I want. I also snore.

So far, you're the leader.

kninestile 05-14-07 10:50 PM

I could also learn to be yelled at by my partner without hitting them

-1 I want the sympathy from the viewer community. More drama = more viewers = higher probability the legs we come in last are non-elimination legs.

Have you ever eaten cow brain?

Achtung 05-14-07 11:24 PM

But who here can speak English with a foreign accent? That makes all the difference, you know.

Not brain but tongue.

My friend keeps bailing on me when the time comes to submit entries.

If you want a chance at this show, play gay!

BDB 05-14-07 11:35 PM

so 2 internet gay guys.. that's our angle? Would a background check show that I was married

Patman 05-14-07 11:37 PM

Can drive a stick, but it would be freaky to drive a stick on the wrong side of the road in some countries.

magiccmom 05-14-07 11:39 PM

I'm not afraid of karma....therefore not afraid to use a yield! Oh and I can speak in fake accents!

Tell them you were confused. :)

Meteu185 05-15-07 08:37 AM

I can drive a stick very well and could possibly pull out some Tokyo Drift-style, uh, drifting if needed.

I don't speak any foreign languages well, but I like to piece together what I know with some appropriately accented English.

I could make gay references to Phil's package when we get to the mat.

TheGodfather 05-15-07 08:58 AM

I think the way to go is to have 2 teams rep DVDTalk in order to build a little suspense through natural opposition.

For instance, Team Ninja and Team Pirate. Or Team Lightsaber and Team Adamantium. Or Team James and Team Maine.... ;)

I could be on Team Ninja because Pirates suck.

Groucho 05-15-07 08:58 AM

I have my own catchphrase: "Suck it!"

A-aron 05-15-07 09:32 AM

I'm bald ... count me in

mmconhea 05-15-07 09:48 AM

I’m impervious to diarrhea.
Can I join.

Groucho 05-15-07 10:54 AM

I have television experience -- I have been interviewed by Chris Hansen on Dateline several times.
