Jericho Episode 21 "Coalition of the Willing" 5/2/07
Plot Summary:
When the town of New Bern begins bombing Jericho with mortars, Jericho must fight or surrender.
I'm surprised noone started a thread about this episode. This was a fantastic episode!! I thought it was intense from start to finish and left us with a great cliffhanger. Johnstone's speech at the end was very inspiring and got me fired up for the finale next week. The shootout at the mortar truck was so badass. I'm actually surprised CBS didn't put some kind of disclaimer about the violence in this episode.

Yeah, I've been watching this show all along, but it's almost too little too late. I enjoy it, but I din't think it's doing very well in the ratings.

A cross between Bonanza and Combat.
I liked it a lot. War shows are not something I usually enjoy, but this was well done. I still maintain this needs to be at least a 9pm show, with much more of an edge to it.

have to agree this was a fantastic episode! If they're going to be waging guerilla style attacks against New Bern, I really wish they would make some molotov cocktails out of all that liqour at Bailey's though. Seems like she can make plenty of booze and they probably have plenty of empty glass bottles lying around. Seems like a few of those could take out a big group pretty fast.
Also, agreed on the tank even if they don't have shells they could use it as a ploy or at the very least just a very well armored method of transportation.

I really enjoyed this weeks episode as well. They didn't waste time with any stupid IRS girl crap or Eric/Mary/dead wife love triangle. Even Dale's scenes were pretty good. The showdown with New Bern will make for an exciting season finale.
I love how every decision that Gray Anderson always turns out to be the wrong one. That guy can't catch a break.

what was the point of that stupid fake marine chick? I swear to god, it seems like I'm the only one that thought she was selling Jake out and NOT trying to help him. The only reason why things worked out the way they did is because Hawkins is a badass and the New Bern people/Constanino didn't live up to their part of their bargain with her. At that point, she had no choice but to go along with the plan, really (or else Hawkins would destroy her) I wanted Hawkins to shoot her in the face. Am I the only one???

I finally caught up to the season in time for the finale. I have to say, I've done a 180 on this show and have been enjoying the hell out of it the past few weeks.
I hope CBS sticks with it, and lets a more darker tone settle in.
But I think the producers/writers have done a good job righting this ship and have created a pretty damn good show.
If CBS passes, it could be a good fit on Sci-Fi or FX.

I agree this has really picked up the last few episodes. I can't wait for the cliffhanger! It would be sad if this show was not given a second season.
