Desperate Housewives - "Gossip" - 4/29/07

"Gossip"
Spoiler:
Gaby's engagement party is the background for an unexpected announcement, the neighborhood is full of gossip about the dead body found in a Wisteria Lane home, and Susan decides between Ian and Mike

i enjoyed this episode and thought it was pretty good with moving the plots along. the reason why gilbert was in the freezer was pretty funny to me. glad the ian/susan/mike thing is taking an official direction. clearly they are dragging it out to the end of the season.

looks like there good be a brawl next week between tom and rick, should be good.

Snowmaker 04-29-07 09:27 PM

Ah, shit!

ABC didn't update their website from yesterday. It says Pearl Harbor is on tonight, which I thought was odd, but I didn't question it.

calhoun07 04-29-07 10:15 PM

What I thought was previously impossible became reality tonight: Susan officially became even more annoying than before.

And clips of next week doesn't look like she's able to redeem herself at all.

I hope this series ends like Seinfeld...with her in prison.

magiccmom 04-29-07 10:20 PM

Cant see how McCluskey can avoid prison...even if she didnt murder her husband, wasnt cashing those checks for all those years...fraud?

MrX 04-29-07 11:30 PM

The Scavo storyline is worse than Susan right now.

Gabby, Carlos, and Edie were the only entertaining parts in this episode.

Vipper II 04-30-07 06:02 AM

When the hell is Bree coming back? It seems like she's been on maternity leave for ages.

Chew 04-30-07 06:26 AM

^ I think I read she'll be back in the season finale.

Not quick enough, if you ask me. ;)

starseed1981 04-30-07 08:00 AM

I actually like the Scavo storyline right now. Tom is probably my favorite character on the show.

But the Susan one....it's like they are intentionally trying to make her more idioteque by the episode. Hopefully, when she is on the mountain next week she will be mauled by the "24" season 2 cougarr.

Bandoman 04-30-07 08:25 AM

I like Susan only because I think Teri Hatcher is the hottest of the housewives. She totally blew it with both Ian and Mike, though.

Lynette is being stupid. Tom is going to have the upper hand in that relationship for awhile - until the writers have him do something really stupid next season, I'm guessing.

Doug Heffernan 04-30-07 10:43 AM

Glad that McClusky is staying
Hope Ian Stays gone

Lynette is way out of line.

MrE 04-30-07 11:18 AM

What happened ... Ian didn't get injured tonight. He usually has an accident around Susan. It was OK but this episode mainly felt like filler ... soap-y filler at that.

SBrooks1 04-30-07 11:30 AM

I'm so glad Ian is gone. He got on my nerves. I hope Susan gets back with Mike. Lynette is definately way out of line. I love how Kayla called out Lynette on her lying laugh. Kayla's imitating laugh was hilarious. LOL

that was just the story she told. we don't if that's true or something she came up with to stop the rumoring.

also we don't know what story she told the kid

Are we giving the writers too much credit in thinking this is going to be a multi-layered story line or just more lazy writing? Hell, there are still unresolved things about the Orson storyline.

Snowmaker 04-30-07 09:19 PM

Susan trying to get her parking sopt back was the best part I thought.

hardercore 04-30-07 10:51 PM

This was a decent ep, and better than last week's at least. I still miss the dynamic that Bree adds to the show, and I can't for the life of me figure out Susan's rationale for choosing Ian in the first place. Nicollette Sheridan and the Edie character annoy me to no end! but I liked the other storylines.

This had a distinct Season One feel, really grounded the Suburban setting and the numerous scenes with the leads together and playing off each other were great.

Scenes like that piss me off, though. I know it was played for comedy, but Susan assaulted the guy, took his keys, and had his head caught in the window, all for a parking space. Yet, she didn't seemed to be concerned in the least that she could have seriously injured him. They've made Susan way too mental.

He deserved to be seriously injured!

Damn, I thought that was the best/funniest part.

I was hoping Carlos would of moved on from Gabby. Pissed me off to see that smile Gabby had at the end of the conversation when she knew she still had Carlos.

Bree's been gone soo long, I've forgotten about her until they mentioned her name on this episode.

Kayla (is that the name of the other Scavo daughter?) creeps me out with that smile thing she does.

It would have been great if the cop tasered her.

The writer's call it story line filler. That's all it was.

And Kayla reminds me of Madonna's daughter.

I find that I really haven't been missing Bree too much. I'd miss Gabby or Lynette. Defintiely not Susan. It will be nice to have Bree back full time next year.
