30 Rock "Hiatus" (4/26/07)

Oh man there were some great killer lines tonight. The show was a little weird as far as the pacing but it was still funny. I loved Jack's Mom and the "Lie Detector".

It was good to see Parnell back again as the Dr. Loved the line about Jack having scurvy because he keeps asking for lemons

I loved the fast-paced, zaniness in how the show wrapped up the storylines. Elaine Stritch was great.

Kenneth taking a fall for Tracy. OUCH!

So is this how they end Lemon/Floyd, with an internet break-up?

I liked the actress who played Jack's mother, but I thought her lines could have been funnier. I love the look she gives Phoebe after talking to Liz in Jack's office.

Another great episode.

"I'll cut you open like a Tauntuan" is the funniest thing ever spoken.

Now we just need a release date for the DVDs.

It's too referential. It's like Dennis Miller writes it.

A friend of mine, who is a writer, says it's the most poorly written sitcom ever. She hates it. Then again, she's a republican and hates Alec Baldwin by default, so I discount her opinion on this.

I love it, Alec, dems, and Dennis Miller.

Kenneth should have told you the secret code word

What?

That's it.

Oh I love this show. I really hope that Baldwin doesn't leave.

Geez, that's kind of scary. What does she write for, Highlight? I lean conservative and couldn't give a rat's patootey what Baldwin's political beliefs are. This is the best sitcom on TV right now.

Yes, it hasn't caught on because it's too smart for the American audience. It's a damn shame.

Kenneth: "Don't worry Mr. Jordan, we'll have you back in time for your weekly preshow rant"

Tracy: "I think it's going to be about immigration".

I'm not a fan of Baldwin's politics but they guy is a hell of an actor, especially comedicly.

Also there's a difference between Dennis Miller's references to the Crimean War and Ethel Kennedy and 30 Rocks' BSG jokes.

About the show, I was never a watcher of of Will and Grace so I didn't figure out who Kenneth's cousin was until about 2/3 through the show, up until that point I thought perhaps it was the same actor as Kenneth with a goatee and a wig.

Agreed.
Scrubs has never been able to find much of an audience either because the comedy is to smart for mainstream north america.
This will Def. become a Cult Classic like Scrubs has.
