The end with the bar scene and then the scene with Jordan and JD was great:lol:

Snowmaker 04-05-07 09:03 PM

Since Cox just shaved his head on tonight's episode, they ran that "clips" episode way early.

RichC2 04-05-07 09:05 PM

Yeah, no joke.

That said, this show used to be reliable for laughs now it's just got into "how depressing can we make it?" Still good, just not quite the same.

shadowhawk2020 04-05-07 09:11 PM

If you look back alot of the old scrubs were sad and funny this one was good but not brendon fraiser good. However the scene with JD at the end was amazing.

Goldberg74 04-05-07 09:49 PM

J.D. forever!!!!!

movieking 04-05-07 09:52 PM

Not a funny episode at all. Definitely nowhere as good as Fraser's episode....

sjrab16 04-05-07 09:58 PM

So what happened?

invisiblegt 04-05-07 10:26 PM

My mom had a uterus. I lived in it...

GoldenJCJ 04-05-07 10:47 PM

Damn! My DVR cut off at the end right when we see J.D. and Jordan. Can someone give me a quick recap of the last minute or two?

She was upset that no one came to see her, so she said "Screw it" and made J.D. godfather. Then he asked if she could name the baby "Jennifer Dillon" and she said yes, and he was like "JD forever" or something to that effect. Then they cut back to the bar and everyone at the table toasted to Laverne.

GoldenJCJ 04-05-07 11:43 PM

Ah. Thanks. Damn DVR has been doing this a lot lately.

from Zach Braff's blog

"We just wrapped the 6th season of Scrubs!!!! Fear not, when we ended there were about 9 episodes finished waiting for their chance to air. Yes I have signed up for another year. Although tales of my new "arrangement" have not been very accurate. Needless to say, I am in and it will happen as long as NBC renews us for another season; which they have yet to do. ABC which actually owns the show (through Touchstone) has said that if NBC doesn't pick it up, they will for what would be the final season. So, I feel pretty optimistic that it will happen. All the actors and writers want it to happen."

This was especially funny for the wife and me, while picking out names for the upcoming arrival, we kinda manuevered ourselves towards the initials J.D., and that's what we're already calling him.

And to show the geek flag even more, I kept mentally referring to Carla's Laverne as "head-Laverne", like on BSG.

Speaking of Brendan Fraser, it's too bad they couldn't/didn't have him show up to call Cox a liar instead of Nicole Sullivan (not that I have anything against Sullivan, but in that situation, I'm sure Dr. Cox's subconscious would have turned to Ben, not to Jill Tracy).

Oh my god -- I'm a Scrubs nerd!

pinata242 04-07-07 02:48 PM

That and it would have been a huge fan service. I guess Brendan is just too busy for such a cameo.

I listened to the commentary on itunes and they said they tried to get Brendan but he was busy with a film out of the States so they used Nicole Sullivan instead.

I enjoyed the episode. Sad to see Laverne killed off.

The end w/ J.D. and Jordan made up for quite a bit during a sub-par season. It was awesome on so many levels.

k_lodge 04-08-07 09:19 AM

Does anyone know the name of the song that played at the end of the episode?

B.A. 04-08-07 09:47 PM

I believe it is something off of Keane's last album.

I immediately thought of Fraser's character too. It was pretty shocking to see Nicole Sullivan, but honestly, it's more dramatic. Ben died because he wasn't taking care of herself, but IIRC, Nicole died as a result of a direct decision that Cox made.

What really would have been neat (since they couldn't get Fraser for new footage) would have been to play that scene from the older episode in the park, where J.D. asks Perry what he's talking about, then Cox would say "no" in the present, then Nicole would appear to his right. Seems far more likely that someone like Cox would be haunted by more than one ghost like that.

Big Boy Laroux 04-09-07 03:16 PM

I also thought Fraser would have been his ghost.

I don't think Cox made a decision that led to sullivan's death, did he? I thought his decision to use her organs (after she died from rabies, and he didn't know it) led to the deaths of other patients. I didn't think he was involved in her death. but i may be remembering it incorrectly.
