quite the contrary.. i think he is trying to insure he continues to get the large vote turnout from vote for the worst, stern fans, etc...

He could be getting excited about the idea of a new SNL parody of himself too.

And, to be completely honest, I seriously didn't find his singing annoying this week. It really wasn't as bad as previous weeks. Chris Sligh and the other Chris take the cake for the worst of the night, and Blake was underwhelming as well.
