I hope they do do a swerve and have her really be a mole. That would be cool.

I really wanted to like this episode, but my God that entire hour was literally a parody of a few episodes from Season 2. The whole Milo and Nadia kiss was ripped off from Tony and Michelle's 1st kiss. And then, VP Daniels invoking the 25th Amendment against Wayne was identical to Prescott doing the same against David. I was just dumb founded watching tonight's episode.
C'Mon Howard Gordon!! You guys are better than this!!! This is just embarrassing for the hardcore 24 fan to watch. Do they really think the viewer is that stupid? Not a single ounce of originality tonight. Howard Gordon and Manny Coto wrote a really bad episode tonight.
And what is up with writing a mentally challenged computer geek? Also what the hell is up with the CTU Op from Denver saying he had Doyle's back and then going against him?
My Grade for tonight's episode: D+........Jack's appearances saved it from an F

I was thinking the exact. same. thing. Well, actually, they might not. One of the prerequisites for working at CTU is you have to be a mole or at least be able to be suspected of being one.

The way this season is going, I'm guessing they'll catch Fayid within the next 4 hours and spend the remaining 6 chasing after Jack's dad and a deranged President Logan wandering a mall with shotgun.

The silliest part was Palmer regaining consciousness and lucidity after what - three hours of coma? What is up with all these presidents and their overly nefarious VPs? Seems like (except last season where they covertly reversed the scenario) the VP is always a power-hungry uber-turd ultra-conservative. How do these match-ups get elected?

Wow, putrid garbage wasn't enought to describe that episode for me. President Potatohead "Almeda's Up" and goes from the crash cart to flesh wound in ten minutes was the topper. Special Ed Hacker was pathetic. Snarky Denver Agent was pathetic. And Powers Boothe, who started the season looking strong, is just chewing up scenary like a fat kid in the concession stand.
DJariya had it right. These writers should be better than this. We all agree that 24 is the soap opera that's ok for guys to watch, but wow, this is starting to make Guiding Light look like The Shield. DON'T introduce new characters drawn from a hat and expect the audience to invest any emotion into them (three new characters tonight - whole show revolved around them). DON'T speed the plot up to Diary of a Madman speed and try and sell it off as the roller coaster ride of 24. DON'T make the President, CTU, and Jack Friggin Bauer look like complete idiots every season. This season is making me long for Season 3. At least Tony was alive.

This is the first season I've been faithfully watching "24" and based on the past few threads with several comments about they did that in season x", it seems as if I'm catching up pretty quickly with all the ins and outs of Jack Bauer's world.
I realize that "leap of faith" is the secret to enjoying a show like this, but here we are a little over half-way in, and it's becoming more and more difficult to stay with it.
P.S. - Since Jack started getting off a long flight from China, and has now had about 14 hours of intense activity without a break, I want to know what his anti-jetlag secret might be. (Adrenelin can only do so much.) Perhaps they'll resolve the current nuclear and constitutional challenges, and the last 6 episodes are how the CTU team keep Bauer (and maybe even some viewers) from nodding off.

I hate to say this, but for me
Mentally challenged computer hacker = Cougar.
I really hope they turn it around for the last chunk of episodes, because I'm getting really frustrated.

Damn near completely awful episode. You have to laugh when the President wakes up from the coma and looks/sounds absolutely coherant. If there was actually something on opposite 24, I'd stop watching. For now, it'll make suitable background noise while I'm working on other stuff.

I'm as frustrated as everyone else, except for one little detail. Am I the only one who thought President Logan died two hours ago? I really don't see this as an unresolved plot point.

Yeah I assumed Logan is dead, and thats it. Overall I enjoyed it, even though Jack only shot 1 person, and said not enough time once.
My gripe was Palmer talking fine, and in great health. And looks like next week hes walking around like nothing happened. Just let Powers nuke 'em. (Get them before they get you!) Ooops, too late.
BTW is there a thread anywhere about discussing your fav season of 24? Mine is 5, so much action and tension nearly the whole time.

I was once again so disappointed that instead of commenting on the episode, I'll comment on the entirely-in-my-head My So-Called Life reunion - Claire Danes' Gap ad following Brian Krakow as the Retarded Genuis' brother.
