Fox hasn't confirmed a season 3 yet, but the series creator has said that season 3 will consist of a new plot, since most of the conspiracy storyline (about 90%) will wrapped up by the end of season 2.

I'm glad they finally addressed the issue Scofield thought of.. How so many people have died just to free 1 prisioner. That's been one of my big issues with the show (and shows like this aka 24).. Tons of people die to save the life of the main character who before prison wasn't that great of a guy to begin with.

The tattoo on this one made about as much sense as the one earlier in the season with the mileage to what was apparently the only bridge on the road. And he numbers his tattoo's in the order he planned on doing them. It really seems like this guy is an idiot.

We have shows with dudes in prison... but I think that a lot of people would tune into a women in prison show

He probably had her keep the boat, and then launch it at a secluded place on a given date.

And regarding the tattoo, It wasn't to remember his mothers name, it was to remember the padlock combination.
