'Scrubs' and '30 Rock' switch places in April

http://www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-30...,7549862.story

Spring break for NBC's comedy "30 Rock" will be a little shorter than previously planned.

The first-year series was scheduled to go on a break for better than a month starting this week, in order to make room for new series "Andy Barker, P.I." Instead, though, "30 Rock," which stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, will be back for a night of super-sized episodes on Thursday, April 5.

The following week, April 12, it will move up a half-hour to 9 p.m., where it will remain until ending its season April 26. The current occupant of the 9 p.m. slot, "Scrubs," will shift to 9:30 p.m. for a couple of weeks, then move back to 9 for back-to-back episodes on May 3.

For the super-sized night on April 5, NBC will feature a 40-minute episode of "The Office" at 8 p.m., followed by 35-minute editions of "30 Rock" at 8:40 and "Scrubs" at 9:15. A regular-sized "Andy Barker" will air at 9:50, and a repeat of "My Name Is Earl" will conclude the night at 10:20.

April 12 will also mark the return of "ER" from its post-February sweeps hiatus. It will have a run of six new episodes until the season finale in mid-May.
FYI.

Well, I DVR all of the NBC comedies anyway so this will only affect what order they appear in on my "recorded programs" list.

Touche! I was thinking the same thing!

So when they re-air Office episodes with additional content (e.g. delete scenes that have been on the website), do those show up as new or will my Tivo see REPEAT in the programming info?

Well Scrubs held on to that Seinfeld spot for, what, 6 weeks? That the longest they have been at any time slot?

At least one scene from the NBC promo for these episodes has not been seen either in the broadcast version or the web site deleted scenes:

Spoiler:
Pam and Jim hi-five each other as Karen looks on.

Speculation is that there is a mini-storyline where Pam has won a minor art prize (most improved or something like that) and tells Jim. Supposedly these scenes were edited from the broadcast version and weren't shown as deleted scenes.

On the "Super-sized" night, what's coming on at 10:50pm?

I see a 10 minute gap!

Are those episodes really "super-sized" or do they air more commercials?

there about 25-26 mins (the odd time it runs 28mins), theres about 14-15 mins of commericals.
its really getting bad, most sitcoms/comedies run around 21 mins now.
compared to 23-25 mins.

The online Yahoo guide that I use, is indicating these episodes as new.

Actually, it's a repeat with 'new' little bits added in to entice us all to watch again. I'm not sure if I will.

Cool, it will be nice to have 30 Rock back, and this will make it easier for me to avoid watching Scrubs.
