I agree that Peter should already have most of Sylar's abilities (and he should be absorbing the supersonic hearing right now) and should be able to get out of the mess he walked into. It's also good to see his bangs go, maybe now he can see when people are hanging from the celing when he enters a room.

Great episode. I'm just pissed we have to wait so long for the final 5 of the season.

Heroes is now the anti-Lost. And I don't wanna hear how Lost was so kickass in its first season. By this point in its run, Lost was going downhill(culminating in that pathetic Season 1 finale). Heroes is gaining momentum.

And yes, Missy did look very nice tonight. But anyone who's ever watched Life As We Know It or that guest stint of hers on Smallville could've told you she's a hottie.

I'm not sure but I'm guessing that the IV drip only weaken Sylar's power but doesn't completely block it. Also, after Sylar was in IV, we can see that when Mohinder brought a tuning fork next to Sylar's ears, Sylar still has the super hearing.

Excellent episode. So Nathan has chosen power over goodness, or as Linderman put it, having and interesting life over a happy life. I am curious to see what happens to HRG now that he's been caught. Also, I guarantee that they don't kill off Mohinder as I think he's the link that will bring the Heroes together, if nothing else. He might also have the potential to offer "the cure" with his father's research. I'm liking the momentum this show is gaining because there's so many directions that the different plot lines can take and that keeps it interesting. Sucks we have to wait!

I still don't understand why Hiro needs the sword. Did he just have some psychological block? If not, how come no other hero we've seen so far needs external help to use their powers?

I've been under the impression that the sword was just that -- a psychological crutch for Hiro. Not that he needs it for his powers, but he believes it enough that without it they're gone.

but the sword (and it's history) seems to me like it is important, as it involves the symbol that many of the characters share.

I blame the promo wienies for that. If they hadn't been pushing the "Linderman's identity revealed!" I never would have know who McDowell was going to play.

I always thought the Buffy shows did a great job with that - they hardly ever put surprise guest stars in the credits. I'm sure it's some union thing, but if I were a "suprise" actor like that I'd insist that my name be kept out for the first appearance.

Yeah - channel 4 was messed up. I thought it was my antenna. Around 9:30 the show jumped into SD and returned to HD after the commercial. It was fine after that.

So now we're supposed to believe that Peter and Nathan are second generation "heroes". The grandmother's comments lead one to believe that she and he husband had powers. So that makes Claire 3rd generation. Interesting...

Yes, he killed the woman mechanic and stole her power of hearing even the most minute sounds. That's why the tuning fork would have been excruxiating!

Mohinder didn't know about the telekeneisis and only thought Sylar uses his hands. When we 1st saw Sylar in the chair, he stated he couldn't feel or move his hands. That is when Mohinder stated that the iv was working.

Just a reminder, Sylar still has one power no one thinks about: freezing. Before he's ever introduced, we hear about him at a crime scene where a man's head is chopped off and his entire body is frozen in the middle of a room. Assuming the only way that's possible is through a power, that means Sylar has that... and now Peter does too.

I agree, the sword must have some significance, especially since it has the symbol on it. However, Hiro was still able to use his powers when the casino chick and the guy from Spongebob & Coach were fighting. He just didn't realize he still had his powers.

I'm not so sure Nathan chose not to shoot Linderman because of power. I think it's more of wanting to know how he knows so much about everyone with their powers and such. Yes, agreed, the wait will hurt. It may even hurt the show, I mean, it's a 7 week wait period.

There will be another season, right? The show is a hit, but the promos having me thinking that after they "save the world", it's gonna be over.
