I think this may be my favorite episode of the season. I was on the floor most of the episode... and the rest my jaw was on the floor.

I loved it when Dwight was setting in the rocking chair in the kids room. "Oh good you're up"

If Stanley and Kevin were beside Jim, he'd be a safe man.

This episode would have been better if Joss Whedon directed it.

This was a strange episode, much of Michael's inappropriateness played flat to me, and then him turning the tables on Jan in the car (nice 3rd wheel appearance by Dwigt). Roy going ape after finding out about Jim and Pam before their wedding was also unsettling in an unexpected and violent way. Dwigt's got a great future as a home inspector, though...

Kudos to Jim on the excellent spit-take when Michael followed-up Dwigt's square footage question with asking the hosts how much they paid for their house.

Looks like Dwigt was the only one who had a good time at the respective parties.

I thought the opening was a repeated bit (strait-jacketed Michael) from a previous episode, am I misremembering things?

I think we all did. A couple weeks ago I commented that I wasn't sure if Roy was sincere in his efforts to reconnect with Pam or just faking it to win her back. Um... question answered!

Jan: "Why is this so hard?"
Jan: "That's what she said." ::

Loved how Karen played Jim. WHAT is Roy going to do when he sees Jim next? Poor Jim, but good Pam found the true Roy out now and I'm glad they're not stringing that along for the rest of the season. (FIVE WEEKS???)

Am I the only one that's really getting sick of Michael? I'm pretty sure this was covered in the wedding thread, but he's just becomming annoying to me. He's fine when he's inappropriate and weird a couple times an episode but not dozens of times like he was at the wedding and the cocktail party. It's too the point where I just roll my eyes at him instead of laugh. Honestly I would probably like the show better if he wasn't even on it. This isn't a bash Steve Carell thing because I like him in small doses, but I like all the characters MUCH better than I like Michael.

It's very similar to Seinfeld for me. Carell is the star as was Jerry and I liked Jerry but he was by far my least favorite character on Seinfeld. Usually I couldn't care less what Jerry was up to in an episode while I found George's, Elaine's and Kramer's storylines much more interesting.

Hated Jan, shes just annoying with her acting and character. She seemed forced to say 'thats what she said'
Hated Toby (wheres the 'gym' girl?)
Dwigt seems to be over the top too much sometimes. On the roof? Come on.

I still dig the show though

BUT I got a call and was on the phone for the last 10 mins, I saw it all but missed the dialogue. What the hell happened with Karen and stuff? Played Jim? PLEASE tell me I can watch this online for free!!

Poor Toby. When will he get a break.
Whatever did happen to that woman Toby brought to the wedding?

As for this episode, really enjoyed it, but Roy's outburst at the end was a little over-the-top. Not that his character has been the most calm and serene on the show, but for him to start flinging glass mugs and other stuff in a public place, in front of co-workers no less*, just feels a little too unbelievable. Plus, I was (perhaps foolishly) hoping for some closure on the Jim-Pam cocktease of a relationship, and this episode didn't help matters.

That said, I couldn't stop laughing when Dwight was in the child's room and on the roof; also loved him banging and pulling on the stairs.

* (Yeah, I know, Roy works down at the loading dock; but he's often seen upstairs with the rest of the staff.)

It is pretty obvious Roy does not feel comfortable with the office staff as he never wants to do anything with them, so I doubt he really considers what they think.

Holy crap, this could be one of my favorites. My head hurts bad from laughing so much.

Does J.J. Abrams direct random shows like this often? Could that explain the oddity some are feeling with this episode?

The episode was written by Toby

I hope someone gives Jim a little heads-up before he runs into Roy.
