I don't think that Hiro stopped the bullets - I think that Ando did. Ando is going to have superpowers that we just haven't seen yet, IMO.

That's sort of what I was thinking. I know they won't just get rid of Ando. Not to mention that Ando is in more episodes than anyone else this season according to IMDB. It looked like a time reverse except that when the bullets got back in the gun something strange happend; It was like a backfire. I'm not sure how Hiro's power could've done that, so I'm leading towards Ando having super powers too.
