House -- "Insensitive" -- 2/13/2007

Synopsis: It's Valentine's Day, and Cuddy has a blind date. Meanwhile, House leaves ER duty to take the case of a child patient named Hannah.

Original Air date: 2/13/2007

"They killed our lord, you sure you can trust them?"

"Break her arm, she won't mind."

"Girls can't hold me for very long because I only pay for an hour."

rotfl I'm easily amused, all the quips possible with this condition. It's been a while since theres been absolutely no overarching story.

LOL, that scene w/ Cuddy was great. So far a bunch of great, witty lines.

EDIT:

Well that was pretty stupid.... you're tellin me that not a single person on that lower floor was down there to help????

RichC2 02-13-07 08:33 PM

Yeah I saw that on the ad and wondered wtf. Still a wtf, but ah well.

and the formula is back in full kick, a random mention of something and BAM, done.

And that was fucking nasty.
Spoiler:
but at least they didn't cure the CIPA

This episode was pure formula, and despire a few scenes of stiff acting and general stupidity, was really damn entertaining.

3 WEEKS? WTF?

RUSF18 02-13-07 08:54 PM

Uneffingreal.

This "one episode every three weeks" crap is getting beyond ridiculous. Just stupid.

MrX 02-13-07 10:57 PM

I thought it was good.

The scenes with House and the girl were funny. Nice job by Foreman of getting rid of his girlfriend:lol:

Patman 02-13-07 11:17 PM

I found this episode hiliariously funny and painful at the same time.

Given that Chase and Cameron are engaged in real life, their little conversation of "colleagues with benefits" struck me very funny.

With House always on the lookout for cases to ease his own pain, to come across a CIPA must have been manna from heaven for House.

SexualPudding 02-13-07 11:47 PM

Mika Boorem (the actress who played "the girl") annoys the everloving hell out of me for some reason.

QuikSilver 02-13-07 11:57 PM

I just recently started to watch this show and absolutely love it. Hugh Laurie is awesome and rightly deserved the Golden Globe and SAG awards. I need to rent the first couple of seasons and do a marathon to catch up.

Loved the lines.

They are foreshadowing House and Cuddy getting it on..maybe a season 3-4 arch.

How the hell did that girl not :yack: as she watched him take that worm out of her? I would have been like Davey Hogan at the pie-eating contest.

I saw some program on animal planet, or discover channel, something like that about those types of parasites/worms and people in real life who have had something like that happen. A lot of the time on the show the people had visited another country years and years before they had any problems, and it was incredibly gross and scary at the same time.

I don't want House and Cuddy to hook up, because their relationship will lose a lot of its dynamic.

I always thought that House hooking up with Cameron would ruin the show.

The dynamic with Cuddy has always been a flirtacious one. It eventually has to pay off, two single people that are horny that flirt for years..and never once try something?

I don't care if they hook up and knock a few off here and there, but I don't want to see any kind of long-term relationship between the two.

Patman 02-14-07 09:35 AM

Say what you will, House and Cuddy have really good chemistry.

orderandlaw 02-14-07 11:47 AM

Excellent episode last night, but I've gotta say

Spoiler:
The tapeworm looked a lot like rope. I wouldn't think the special effects department would have had something more realistic. Did anyone else think that?

Yah.

Hook up have sex, last a few episodes (may sweeps?). Then knock it off until you are ready to put the show to bed..then have them hook up for good.

Why the spoiler tag? anyways, the tapeworm looked pretty realistic..from what I have seen of pictures..they kind of looked like that.

I just hope they don't put them into a real relationship on the show. Chase is such an ass it would be painful to watch.

I really didn't buy the blind date overhearing Cuddy's conversation with House and then walking out. I didn't get the "she's really passionate about this" vibe from her in the conversion at all, and I didn't buy whatever his excuse was for walking out on a sure hookup (since the conversation he overheard basically confirmed he was getting some).

One minor scene that I found hysterical was when House started a "walk and talk" with Foreman and Foreman said "Thank god were walking somewhere so I know this will be short".

The bugger in question was D. latum. Here is a wiki pic of it. I don't have a screenshot for comparison.
