Should Mac's story arc be starting soon? -pray-

aktick 02-13-07 08:41 PM

Fucking CW! I could hear the music but no speaking at all. These shitty stations force a person to d/l eps online.

NitroJMS 02-13-07 09:08 PM

Interesting to see Wallace return for all of 3 minutes there tonight after being gone for so long. I really think they should have wrote him off along with Jackie last year since he has done absolutely nothing for the story this year.

dolphinboy 02-13-07 09:59 PM

Still 15 minutes to go, but I'm liking this episode.

I like how Logan had to deal with the little girl. I think most of the time people who post here don't really like him, but I love the guy. I like how even though he's done some bad things, he also does the right thing more often than not when it's really important. Like being unselfish enough to find out that the little girl was going through a hard time and taking her out to get ice cream.

I wish they'd just have those 2 stay together, because when Logan is around to protect Veronica it just feels right.

They should sort of stick with Logan, Veronica, Mac, Wallace as the scoobies and Keith as Mrs. Summers. Weevil is sort of the Spike character.

Sheriff Lamb has arrested more people that weren't guilty in just 2 1/2 years that probably any cop has in the history of the world. When he tells someone that they are under arrest, it sounds stupid at this point.

Enjoyed the show, but it still feels like it kind of drags. I know they don't want to compromise the quality, but I think it might hurt the show that the mysteries unfold slowly and without a lot of intensity. I mean, next week looks like a thrill-fest. If they kept the show a little bit more fast paced, I think fans might give it a chance-although it may be too late. I certainly thought the pace of shows in season 1 felt quicker and that was easily the best season.

sven 02-13-07 10:00 PM

They should just write off the entire cast cuz this show has gone down the shitter. I think I'm done with it.

Rypro 525 02-14-07 12:58 AM

God damn fucking ACC basketball. Guess I'll have to catch the replay.

Brent_MN 02-14-07 01:49 AM

funny. the dude in the beginning with the hotel manager who said "we're running out of salt and pepper shakers" -- I know him!! lol.

I was visiting a friend from high school in LA in January, and this guy, David Magidoff , was over. I was talking to him and he mentioned how he's an actor. Big whoop, right? Well so I asked what he's been in...and he said he was just shooting another episode of VM. The first one he was on was the plagerism one. He was the dude who called Veronica out on it!

Just kinda funny. I don't know any actors who are on tv. :)

johnnysd 02-14-07 04:21 AM

I think the show is still great, but it is painfully obvious who killed the Dean.

Really? Care to share your thoughts?

Patman 02-14-07 02:17 PM

I just thought the coach's murder was a way to shoehorn an appearance by Wallace, albeit a short one.

The girl with Logan was a cute device to get him to stop thinking about himself and get back to interacting with the world.

He said that it was painful.

MrX 02-14-07 04:44 PM

I enjoyed the episode. I was nervous when I first saw Wallace since that usually means the episode is doomed to suck, thank god he wasn't around long.

Brent_MN 02-14-07 05:50 PM

how did Wallace even know V and L broke up? He certainly never talks to Veronica. At least, how would we know if he did? He's never on.

AudioWizard 02-14-07 08:10 PM

Hey, where can you play MK online?

If you have two Broadband adapters, a computer program, and a hack you can...that was bugging me the entire episode as well.

Kittydreamer 02-14-07 10:58 PM

I really enjoyed this episode. I'd like see more Mac and even less Wallace...

I also thought the little girl was cute and funny and was exactly what Logan needed to get out of his funk.

When Veronica saw Logan in the bathrobe with Heather in the elevator...damn Veronica has a dirty mind! I couldn't stop laughing at that.

Chew 02-15-07 06:04 AM

The TVGuide podcast made an interesting observation: because Veronica is no longer in high school, the social clicks don't exist. Veronica doesn't feel like the outcast we expect her to be and that dynamic has a big effect on the overall show.

Thoughts?

mphtrilogy 02-15-07 08:40 AM

I would like to see her move quickly through college and into the FBI, now that has potential to be a really great show.

Watching a newly minted FBI grad Veronica take on Hannibal Lecter.

Didn't people say the same thing about Buffy?

MrE 02-15-07 08:57 AM

I'm just happy the show was a lot better than this thread. :eyebrow:

Yeah that certainly made me giggle.

I liked the episode. Great mystery and the dialogue from Dick is hillarious. He has some great lines.

HotThang 02-15-07 05:13 PM

As soon as he requested
Spoiler:
peanut butter cookies
I knew what was up.

Probably didn't need spoilers but what the hey.

I don't follow.

Patman 02-15-07 09:57 PM

One scenario: The guy was probably allergic to peanut butter, ate a cookie, went into shock, got sent to the hospital, and made his escape from there.

Bingo. The look on his face when he ate one said it all.

Zee 02-15-07 10:41 PM

FYI, rumor is that Kristen Bell has signed on to play the lead in Xanadu: The Musical on Broadway (ugh). Don't know what this means in respect to Veronica Mars, as most original principal contracts are for at least a year, and Xanadu starts in May. Things aren't looking good for our beloved show...

Chew 02-16-07 06:34 AM

How long of a run will it be for? Maybe it's just during the VM summer hiatus?

Or the cookies could have been made from the tainted Peter Pan peanut butter...

The Mars family can't afford Peter Pan. It was Great Value. I think that the cell mate has more to due with the escape than the cookies.

riley_dude 02-16-07 12:06 PM

Xanadu the Musical?? Wow. I would love to see her in that.

The show's run would be open-ended, although I wouldn't be surprised if it opened and closed pretty quickly. The likelihood that they would allow her to sign a 3-4 month contract is pretty small...I would say 6 months at the very least. Of course, this is still a rumor, but it sounds pretty solid.

The allergy angle didn't occur to me until they showed Veronica smuggling them in, but I was thinking it was a suicide attempt and he would leave a confession since it was getting near the end of the episode and I didn't even consider it a 2 parter.

dstrauss 02-17-07 10:19 AM

Actually, it's fairly common for a "name" star to come into a Broadway show for a short run.
