Yeah, they have to come in at some point...

Also, I wonder if the Peter MacNicol's character will turn out to be good. Even though the guy is slimey worm, I get the feeling he'll foil something.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty obvious he is setting up Chad Lowe. 24 is never that straighforward, there has to be at least one more twist to that plotline.

I also think Osama (Bashir?) is going to be behind everything up to this point.

I forgot about them! I bet we will see more of them.

I can give them a pass on the "bad guy escape" from a completely surrounded building because it's necessary to the plot, but why do they let the general public (Bauer's kinfolk) wander around CTU during a nuclear terrorist attack. I've done work in non-secure (FAA, Dept of Ed) government buildings and I can't even go to the bathroom without an escort.

Yeah, he reminds me of Novick from season 2. Doing what he thought was the best for his country.

was Morris cuffed in the Maseratti? Because a number of times the woman wasn't even pointing the gun at him - giving him more than a few chances to take it from her.

If he was restrained (like he was shown to be in the truck) why was there the need to point the gun at him to begin with? Since she had to cover him, I figured he wasn't tied down, and could have easily gotten hold of her gun.

he was cuffed to the armrest, the gun served nothing than to be dramatic..

I have a shiny gun, and of course allowed her to kill.

Since when was realism a part of 24-world? Like someone else mentioned, I highly doubt that they'd bring the leader of Al Quada (reformed or not) to Washington DC and not only bring him to the communication HQ but have him alone in the same room with the Prez.

Okay, it wasn't the best two hours...but it was a damn sight better than the last two episodes!

I too, think that the Biscuit is playing Chad Lowe so he can find out who wants to get to the President...he'll be a hero when all is said and done.

I loved the fact that Milo finally got out of CTU and took his driver's training for UPS. What can Milo do for you?

Morris is finally starting to develop into an interesting character.

Rena Sofer has the sexiest eyes since Meg Foster.

For some reason, I really liked the soundtrack music when Jack landed the helicopter on the semi truck...hope they use that cue again in an episode.

I'm going to be really mad if that's the case. So far this season seems to be trying to show the opposite ends of the ideological spectrum from other seasons. They seem to be trying to make an effort to show that not every muslim is a terrorist (indeed, the vast majority), and that we are dealing with the few zealots. But so far, it seems that Major League Hillbilly had his fear and violence justified when Kumar turned out to be ACH-med, and now if the peaceful reformed Assad turns out to be playing them, it will only reenforce that ideal. "They're all bad, don't trust them. Kill 'em all." I, for one, think that would cheapen this show.

I guess all the Star Trek references just went over your head.

He'd have been in the air 2 hours at best for what is normally a 5 hour flight. Assad leaves CTU at 10:49 A.M. Lands at Andrews Airforce Base at 1:16 P.M. They must have shipped him on a B2.

I thought he was cuffed to the armrest as well but when they switched cars under the freeway pass, they just got him out and his hands were cuffed together. Anyway, Morris heard Fayed and the others talking about how CTU had tracked them down. He should have slowed things way down as he was going to be dead after he programmed the device. Then again, the whole thing with getting Achmed/hostage dad to get the other device from the computer parts guy was pointless if they already had one that just needed to be reprogrammed.

I do find that ignoring the small stuff allows me to enjoy the show so forget what I just wrote.

I have asked my boss to ensure that, in future, should I be pistol whipped, beaten with a baseball bat and otherwise bludgeoned, AND have had a drill inserted into me, to not allow me back to my job within the hour.

Please ensure I take at least a half day, maybe go home and take a tylenol.

What happened to Kumar? Did he die?

I'm finding that this season is terribly boring because it repeats themes a 3rd time or more in the series: child in peril, suburban family involved in the plot (twice!), someone not trusting President Palmer, etc.

And DB Woodside is REALLY getting on my nerves. It doesn't help his suit is gigantic so he looks like he's playing dress-up with his brother's clothes.

There's a few bright spots: Buchanan uber-trusting Jack, Milo's psychological games with the random blonde sidekick, etc. But overall this season seems very un-24ish, like it's just rote repetition.

Yep, guess so. Sorry, I would never watch Star Trek. Just too "dorky" for me, I suppose. You'll just have to excuse my ignorance on the name, but wouldn't it be easier to just use the name the character has on the show being discussed? I don't see everyone calling Jack "Ace" or "Doc Scurlock." Maybe it's just the cool Sci-Fi nerd thing to do?

Did you manage to correct everyone in earlier threads calling Lennox, Biscuit? Maybe next time I'll just call Asaad, Nasir. Then you can choose either movie referenced since they're not sci-fi related and would certainly meet your standards of highbrow.

The main thing that annoyed me is that Jack's dad was seemingly allowed to freely roam around CTU without a chaperone. I personally don't think any civilian would be allowed to wander around such a place, especially at a time of crisis. Let alone someone who is known to have even loose (to their knowledge) connections to terrorist activities.

Agreed with this. If they turn Julian into a villain after all this, color me very, very disappointed. Then again, I've been a bit disappointed by this season since the end of hour 4.

Yet arguing about realism in 24 isn't dorky. At all.

Morris getting drilled in the shoulder ... owwwwwwww.

His fall to the ground afterward was in slo-mo -- a first for 24? Kinda undermines the real-time aspect, don't it?
