Full disclosure...I love everything about this show, and have since day 1 (even during some of the slow parts of Seasons 2 and 3).

That said, these 2 hours were terrible. Yes, the action was there and it was exciting...but these storylines are becoming dreadful. Let's overthrow the President...again. Let's assassinate a President...again. The story surrounding Jack's family is just dumb. His sister-in-law is annoying and his son is even worse (yes, we will surely soon find out that the overdressed boy is Kim's long-lost brother). The whole "bad guy behind the bad guy behind the bad guy" has been beaten to death.

I was the last one to hope for the show to start following a different format, but I think I've just about had enough.

I'm looking forward to Jack attaching a car battery to his dad's scrotum.

I agree with whoever last week said they've made a huge mistake killing off all the supporting characters. I don't give a crap what happens to anyone besides Jack and Chloe, and even she's not as interesting as she was.

Yeah, they need to flesh out some of the new characters by bringing in their relatives. You know, a whiny brother or a mentally disabled daughter or even a druggie sister.

And when that doesn't work, just blow more shit up.

Nice to see that the President can get a plane to go warp speed to get Bashir to the White House. Unless he has access to a wormhole.

So let me get this straight -- Jack can look at a cold blooded semi-mastermind like Graeme Bauer and tell he's lying. Meanwhile, he can't tell that some dumb bimbo took a phone call that was obviously disturbing and that she was hiding something? I mean, really? He can't tell at all?

Well I thought it was a good episode. Mind you, this is the first season I've ever watched of 24, so everything is fresh and new to me. So I guess my opinion doesn't count worth shit.

Jack just doesn't understand women

come to think of it the guy still hasn't called the girl [Audrey] he left standing outside right before he was abducted since he's been back on US soil

Karen obviously wasn't on the same type of plane going the other way
unless she is gussying herself up for Bill

also loved how quick Jack got to the apartment complex where Fayed and crew were

all kidding aside I thought this was a fun 2 hours

LOL, out of all the asinine outlandish things that occur on the show, this is what you want to pick apart? Oh, and it's Assad, not Bashir.

This show is getting ridiculous. You would think jack and SWAT would maybe cover all escape routs from the building. I mean really, it happens every 3 or 4 episodes where CTU has the enemy locations and they let them slip away. I mean a sewer tunnel is a pretty big escape route for CTU and LAPD to miss. are they really this incompetent. even my local police department would've had that covered. The whole family and president plotlines are been there done that. of course you have the the whole non-trust thing going on again. Next season if there is one shouldn't involve LA CTU or much of the white house. Have it be over seas with jack hooking up with the german operative he lied to last season. jack said he would make it right to him later.

I thought it was a pretty good 2 hours on 24 tonight. But, the show can do so much better.

Hour 1: Lots of action and good to see Jack finally adding to his kill count. The torture scenes with Fayed and Morris were pretty good. That stupid blonde should have known she was DOA as soon she walked in that apartment.

Hour 2: Good episode and I really like Powers Boothe. He has a much more mennacing appearance compared to Ray Wise last season. Some good action in the last 15 minutes. By the way, has anyone noticed that since season 1, travel time between cities only takes a few minutes? I'm not sure where CTU is located, but it took Jack and Marilyn literally 3-4 minutes to arrive in West LA.

Phil Bauer is turning out into a pretty good villain. Looking forward to Jack putting a bullet in his skull.

My one complaint that has been bothering me the entire season. The Presidential storylines is probably one of the most B.S., poorly written, re-hashed stories in the series. Everytime the action moves out of LA and heads into the White House, I want to cringe. As someone mentioned in an earlier post, the show comes to a screeching halt. DB Woodside's acting isn't getting any better and the conversations between Peter MacNicol and Chad Lowe are so ridiculously lame.

I dunno... 3 hours seems plausible for someone that they need to transport in a hurry.

I've been with this show from the beginning, and my only "oh come on" moment was last night when they brought Bashir to the White House bunker. I mean, seriously, Osama Bin Laden decides to make nice nice 20 years from now and we'll let him into the White House bunker?

If someone like Wayne Palmer is President, who knows?

As for the episodes, I liked Hour 2 better than Hour 1, but both were significant improvements over the previous weeks. I didn't notice til the episodes were over, but Sandra Palmer and her boyfriend were missing. Thank the Lord!

I'm not down with rehashing the "remove President Palmer from office" plotline from Season 2, but hopefully that gets nipped in the bud before anything happens.

Nope, different actor. Although the dude playing Gredenko did have a young girl fetish in Eyes Wide Shut.

Yep, he was in M:I-2. He was also the villain in The Saint(the Val Kilmer one). And he was the homeless dude in Batman Begins.

"Nice coat" - Could've done without that in the movie, lol.

As for these episodes, they were better than the previous ones and I was glad that the Sandra Palmer storyline was off this week. Now if they could only do something with the President's story. Personally, wouldn't seeing Powers Boothe as the Prez be more interesting? The guy has 10x more on screen presence than Woodside.

The President storyline definitely does feel like old territory--especially with what we've seen happen to Presidents in prior seasons.

On a different note...anyone else think Fayed is one of the best villains we have seen on "24" since maybe Ira Gaines in season 1?
