CSI Miami

I did a search for a thread on this... couldn't find it so I thought I would start one myself.

Did anybody else watch this. We Tivo'd it and just got around to watching it last night. I know it is a 2 part episode but I think after the first half I am -eek-

Also, I loved that line when that guy called Horatio "Master of the Obvious".

Was this the episode with Nelly Furtado, or was she on a different incarnation?

BDB 02-08-07 09:52 AM

no this was one of those which cast member is going to be dead!!!

and I wish it was Alex! Or Wolf!

Bronkster 02-08-07 10:11 AM

Since I'm lucky enough to usually miss the promos, the ending of this episode caught me off guard. Was this announced as a "someone dies!!!" thing? Or, will there be miracle surgery performed and all will be well again in Miami in two weeks?

I hope not hope they stay dead, could not stand them

paradicelost 02-08-07 10:47 AM

I kinda liked the person, my wife and were both like WTF.

BDB 02-08-07 11:24 AM

I missed the promo's as well, but from reading EW I gathered the following

CSI Deathwatch!
Somebody takes a bullet, but who deserves it most?
A. Mr. Wolf: Because what is that, some kind of smart-ass Tarantino reference?
B. Natalia: She's Trouble
C. Alexx: Because until this day I didn't know it was spelled with two X's.

I think he's better than wolf, natalia and alexx, and I used to really not like him when rory cochrane was on the show, rory was the much better half.

He seemed to be shot up pretty bad.

Well, at least he won't have to have 20% of his wages garnished by that scam artist beeyotch if he doesn't survive.

I said the same thing at the end of the show!

I too was another viewer who didn't see promos or anything, so I didn't know anybody (well any of the team) was supposed to die.

Too bad it wasn't the coroner.

Continuing last week's thread (since the show doesn't deserve its own thread every week ;) )

So, is he dead?? He didn't look dead to me. Are we supposed to assume that he dies after his little talk with Horatio? Were we misled to think that he would die? Man Down - A member of the team dies after being shot in the head; the CSIs find evidence that could lead them to the man behind the team member's shooting. That seems very unambiguous to me. So, I ask again: WTF?!

marty888 02-13-07 06:25 AM

Didn't look dead to me ..... but then, this is CSI:MIAMI where nothing looks real anyway.

BDB 02-14-07 01:21 AM

he died and came back to life, so technically dead I guess, cheap shot.

Clavo goes out smiling.

costanza187 02-14-07 05:50 AM

I really did not get this episode. I guess good that Delko didn't die, but c'mon, that whole episode was ridiculous... To say on the description a member dies, only to bring him back Pulp Fiction style. Give me a break, did I see Fonzie ride by on a motorcycle looking for a shark to jump over?

What was up with Clavo with the turning himself in/suicide thing? I did not understand his motivation there. I may actually miss this guy, the way he was breaking Horatio's balls was quite amusing.

Chew 02-14-07 07:17 AM

I had accepted that this show was just cheesy crap a long time ago, but bringing Delco back from the dead given the 'look of death' on his face after last week was too much. I drifted out for the last 40 minutes of the episode.

Was he flatlined for 11 minutes?!?

wiz 02-14-07 08:37 AM

I believe he was flatlined for 11 minutes...which makes it that much more unrealistic that they were able to save him. Perhaps he'll get hit by a bus next week. :)

Yeah, that bothered me (as much as I would actually allow this show to "affect" me) too. I was getting into the how the character was being an amusing pain in the ass.

As for Delko, he can now claim brain injury for his bad acting. :p

Jadow 02-14-07 08:06 PM

Clavo turning himself in at the end was just because they realized "OMG, it's 9:59, we'd better wrap this up!"
