CSI - "Meet Market"- 2/01/07

"Meet Market"
Spoiler:
Nick and Keppler uncover a black market for human body parts; the other CSIs investigate the case of a wealthy married woman who was found murdered in her home.

TheMovieman 02-01-07 02:03 PM

I only hope this episode is much, much better than last week...

Nick Martin 02-01-07 09:29 PM

Grissom!

The beard's back (it was for his stage play character).

Keppler seems to be haunted by people he (presumably) couldn't save - or couldn't get justice for, and next week's episode seems to be the focus of that.

TheMovieman 02-02-07 12:43 AM

That insert with Grissom seemed, I don't know, out of place. Might've been the score from The Hours they used...

As for the episode, outside of the mystery of Keppler's past getting minor examination (and the voice at the end), this was yet another sub-par episode IMO.

Shazam 02-02-07 01:15 AM

Was a little lame, but it was better than that weird bore-fest last week.

Show's really gone downhill this season, unfortunately.

So how did Keppler know this girl?

Nick Martin 02-02-07 09:57 PM

Since he mentions a lot of the serial murderers he profiled, I would guess that:

-She was a victim of a killer that Keppler tracked down
-Same as above, only Keppler knew her
-She was a victim and he could not catch her killer and feels guilt over that

Bronkster 02-02-07 10:02 PM

I'm thinking there's a closer connection between him and the girl. In the first episode Keppler was in he received a bunch of calls/messages from Frank (I think that was the name), and the death notice of the girl was sent by the same person.

I'm kinda liking the Keppler character, but the storylines have been meh.

TheMovieman 02-02-07 11:40 PM

I'm hoping he'll become a regular (or at least semi-reg). Since he's a profiler, he could come in for 3-4 episodes in a season. However, from next week's preview, it looks like he's royally messed up that first crime scene or something...

The card was sent by a priest, Father(abbreviated Fr. on the card) Anthony

I doubt he'll become a regular, it sounded like the only reason he took the part is because it was a short commitment and it's been hinted at in a couple of articles that he hasn't made many friends on the set.

I liked the episode and thought it was much better than last weeks disaster.

Jadow 02-03-07 09:24 AM

I googled Keppler awhile back and found a page @ cbs.com that I don't think they wanted on the web.

The girl was Keppler's HS Sweethart and they got married. He was married to her for 5 years and they had a kid, but she and the kid died somehow.

Bronkster 02-03-07 11:06 AM

Thanks for the spoiler!

MrX - I guess I should've looked closer at that card. So, my theory about the earlier calls and this are bogus? heh

Which girl? The girl on the card he recieved was 15 when she died.

Good to see the beard back on Grissom, although it looked fake in the mini insert.

So technically he was only gone 2 full episodes.

Glad Grissom will be back next week. Looking forward to his interactions with Keppler.
