Super Bowl XLI...the commercials thread.

So with Super Bowl XLI up and coming this Sunday let's discuss the most important part of the festivities...the commercials. Sometimes when there are two teams I could care less about I will watch most of it just for the commercials.

So anyone know what the big ones are going to be and from what companies? I haven't heard that much buzz about any of them. I think Apple will do a new Mac commecial with Justin Long and company, but what about any others?

This one could be a contender...

I love the superbowl ads. BTW the best site to see them on is Ifilm - they have instant uploads in flash 8 and it's sorted by year and advertiser. They even have an e-mail alert you can sign up for that lets you know when any given commercial is uploaded. I wonder what this year's installment of the racy banned GoDaddy ads will bring us...

I always Tivo the game just to watch the commercials later - mostly to see the movie trailers. I could give two shits about the Superbowl.

Looking forward to the new ads!

Does anyone know what movie trailers will be airing during the Super Bowl? The summer blockbusters always seem to like to debut a trailer during the Super Bowl and this is a big year for the blockbusters.

Nevermind

For all the TiVo broadband people out there:

There's an option to have all the Super Bowl ads downloaded through the "Product Watch" feature on Monday morning. Just check out Showcases.

That didn't look HD to me. Just 16x9 widescreen.

I liked the Toyota Tundra one, especially since they said it was an actual demonstration. I didn't like the FedEx "Space Office" commercial only because they show the moon having no gravity, when it does

The one with the chiplady/cashier was amazing! I live in a dorm and I'm watching with friends and when she had the 'sex hair' asking for a "Cleanup" everyone down the hall/throughout the building starting screaming "EWWWW" - it was amazing!
