I think they had made reference at some point that Claire and Zach were friends in grade school up until junior high or so.

Would you prefer she wait a few months? He had bad news and she follows it up with the best news possible. Seems pretty damn normal to me.

I didn't hear her say anything about inviting some hot friends over for a foursome to celebrate a winning Powerball ticket.

No, that was in there. She said it. Actually, she didn't say it, but he could "hear" her thinking it.

But...who is the father? Him or the guy she slept with.

mather 01-30-07 12:59 PM

Whatever happened to the girl the cop found hiding behind the stairs? She must have some sort of power, potentially?

Also, in the show it was stated that there were something like 36 on that list of the father's. So are we to expect the amount of heroes to reach somewhere around that amount (alive and dead included).

That would have been my first question. DNA test!

I got the impression that it was both.

Here is a spoiler regarding that and a special guest star for next weeks episode.
Spoiler:
Maury will guest star in a single episode. He power is that he can determine who is related to who.

Kal-El 01-30-07 02:57 PM

I just read Sam Bourne's "The Righteous Men" and when Mohinder said that there were 36 names on the list, it reminded me of the book. Read more about the book's premise here

I know it's a stretch but I just finished the book last week so that's what I related it to.

IDrinkMolson 01-30-07 03:26 PM

Any else find it interesting when HRG tells Claire, even when she turns 64, he'll be there to protect her?
Sounds like he might not age or something.

Patman 01-30-07 03:56 PM

I thought it just meant he was a big Beatles fan. :D

Snowmaker 01-30-07 06:13 PM

Unless HRG is really in with Syler, ther is no reason Syler lets him live, is there?

Maybe his power is something walrus-related.

beats me. should be interesting if he just beats the crap out of him or if he actually kills HRG.

chrisfelice 01-31-07 12:34 AM

And who do you think HRG's "boss" is? Linderman???

Or, could Linderman be Claire's father???

So many questions!!!

SiberianLlama 01-31-07 06:45 AM

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but did anyone else notice that Mohinder lives in apartment number 613, which is the exact number of Mitzvot or Commandments in the Bible (Old Testament part)? They focused on the door number for a second or two this episode so I don't know if they were trying to hint at something or what.

After the whole numbers thing on Lost, I could be just looking for meaning in a random coincidence...

Chucky 01-31-07 08:41 AM

Do not mistake coincidence for fate.

Or something.

I was thinking the same thing. If HRG doesn't die, they're either going to have to show him having some powers or come up with a really plausible motivation for Syler to not kill him. I'm hoping it's not going to be Syler beating the crap out of him and then giving some speech about how he's letting him live and killing his family or some other nonsense. Syler's smart enough to know HRG and whoever he's working for pose a serious threat to him and he needs to have a good reason if he volutarily lets HRG live.

slop101 01-31-07 10:49 AM

These Heroes threads are getting way too esoteric for their own good.

I mean, I watch the show the same as all of you, yet I can't seem to understand most of what the hell everyone is talking about. "Mini-Bilson" was just the tip of the iceberg.

 Online forums are like that. It's not enough to watch the show, you have to read the weekly discussions as well to catch onto the lingo.

heavy liquid 01-31-07 02:02 PM

Not sure if this was posted in an earlier, but here's a scene that was cut from last week's episode with
Spoiler:
the exploding guy and a new character "Wireless" who was introduced earlier in the online comic.

My guess, but I spoiler it anyway.

Spoiler:
He is in fact Claire's dad and he is immortal, or has the healing powers. Sylar won't be able to kill him. Maybe.

I've got to admit, this episode seemed way too predictable. I saw everything coming from a mile away.

I would have never figured that out. I don't even know who Bilson is.
