30 Rock 1/11/07 - The Rural Juror
 

Why no thread? Did I miss something? Was it a repeat?

For what it's worth I thought it was another winner. :lol: But then again 30 Rock can't miss in my book.

I agree it is my favorite new show this year.

I loved how so many previous things came back ("Ah, Grisham. I love his work.").

I also enjoy how Whoopi was so willing to be so self-deprecating. :lol:

The pull down window shade with the GE subsidiary chart just slayed me.

Another solid episode last night.

Did anyone notice the differences in the retellings between Liz and Jenna on the "critques". In the third one, Liz is with a tall, handsome doctor in a lab coat and in Jenna's version he is a short, dumpy blue-collar guy in a white shirt with his name on it. :lol:

This is slowly becoming a can't miss.

"Do you like Phil Collins?"
"I have two ears and a heart, don't I?"

Tracy is doing an awesome job. "I heard eating bread eats your brain!" :lol:

:shrug: I like it, but I don't think either of the last two was that special and a bit of a letdown after watching <i>The Office</i>. I may want to reverse these since I watch them both on delay anyway.

I liked the "Rural Juror" stuff -- it reminded me of David Spade's bit. Ruurl? Rur-ral?

I loved Dr. Spaceman looking at the x-rays.

Agreed. Lots of funny little moments.

"Hall or Bellingham?"
"You know an Arsenio Bellingham?"

I did laugh when Lemon punched the furry animal character (she didn't think anyone was in the suit at the time).

I have grown to love this show as well...every week there are some very funny moments. I loved the scene between the Rural Juror writers and the name of the sequel "Urban Fervor"...

I just like saying "rur jur" to my self.

There were a lot of lines that had me LOL.

...She makes that badger face...

The part where Jack says he smelled crazy in the room and just assumed it was Jenna was also outstanding. :lol:

I loved it, the only issue I had was that it looked like it almost ripped of Arrested Development and it's cornballer. Which was sold in Mexico.

I was also reminded of the Cornballer...which also had a celebrity endorsement (Richard Simmons).

This is quickly taking the number one spot on Thursday nights. Has there EVER been a better 2 hours of comedy on any station?

Kenneth's bits were funny too :

- The prop guy poking the fish in his face.
- Kenneth getting squirted with hot grease from the Meat Machine.

I love this show.

I kept waiting for Tracy to show up as Star Jones during the View skit, eventhough she's not on the show or a blob anymore.

The Rural Juror stuff still cracks me up just thiniking about it.

Or later on at Jack's office

"Did anyone get hurt?"
"Just Kenneth."
"Good."

Poor Kenneth can never eat his food without it getting stolen by someone.

This is boring. I'm bored now.

I've given up on Earl, but Office, Scrubs and 30 Rock is a great run of shows in a row. Loved this episode as well. The Phil Collins line killed me almost as much as the slogan about meat being the new bread.
