Oregon - Hello, Larry

Michael Corvin 01-08-07 02:35 PM

Case made. :) Carnivale has been added.

Now back to work. Need to get a few things done. I'll update anything further later.

Minnesota - The Mary Tyler Moore Show

I also think Happy Days should top the Wisconsin list, at least before Laverne and Shirley

Shemp 01-08-07 02:36 PM

You can add 'West Wing' to DC as well.

GuessWho 01-08-07 02:38 PM

Michigan - Home Improvement

superdeluxe 01-08-07 02:40 PM

WA- There was a short lived Medical comedy based out of Seattle on FOX (I wanna say it was Medicine Ball or something). This show came out 6-8 years ago..lasted like 7 episodes.

Or maybe I am just crazy

das Monkey 01-08-07 02:41 PM

I already posted three, so this doesn't count:
Spoiler:
The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire -- It's just too perfect not to mention.

Bluelitespecial 01-08-07 02:50 PM

You can add One tree Hill and dawson's creek to north carolina.

Tracer Bullet 01-08-07 02:52 PM

I can tell you with absolute certainty that there has never been a show set in Delaware. The closest it's ever come was The Pretender.

Brooklyn 01-08-07 02:55 PM

Wasn't Roseanne set in Indiana

kakihara1 01-08-07 03:07 PM

Wyoming - The Young Riders

TimeandTide 01-08-07 03:14 PM

The first season of Saved by the Bell (aka, "Good Morning, Miss Bliss") was set in Indiana.

There was also a Sat. morning kids show about basketball--and co-starring Reggie Theuss and Dick Butkus--that took place in Ind.

zekeburger1979 01-08-07 03:16 PM

Freaks and Geeks - Michigan

majorjoe23 01-08-07 03:23 PM

There was a sitcom set in Des Moines, Ia, but I can't think of the name.

I was going to say threadkiller until I looked at your link. Wiki only has 31 states listed compared to DVDtalk's 41 (so far, 42 w/DC). DVDtalk rules!

Abelkems 01-08-07 04:02 PM

Yeah it seems to be missing a lot. Why is Iowa listed under T?

"T" for "Television Shows Set in Iowa".

Either that or "Time to Leave".

If IMDB is right and there will be a tv version of The Butterfly Effect some time in 2007, that would likely be set in West Virginia. Otherwise, I'm drawing a blank on it.

squidget 01-08-07 05:15 PM

Eureka - Oregon
Kyle XY - Washington
Gilmore Girls - Connecticut

Big Dave 01-08-07 05:25 PM

I believe Family Matters took place in Illinois and Early Edition as well (both in Chicago).

The Pretender WAS set in Delaware. Sort of. :)

Not a TV show, but Fight Club was set in Delaware.

Delaware was also mentioned in Who's the Boss, X-Files ("Mind's Eye"), etc.

Also Metropolis is in Delaware:

I think in Worlds Collide (comic), Metropolis is shown to be halfway between New York and DC, south of Philadelphia.

But TB answered it correctly.

starman9000 01-08-07 05:44 PM

Little House on the Prairie Minnesota

Drexl 01-08-07 05:48 PM

I found one in Tennessee. "Nashville 99" was a cop show that had a few episodes in 1977.

squidget 01-08-07 06:08 PM

How old can the show be?
found a show called My Friend Flicka set in Montana that ran from 1956 - 1958

Dawson's Creek was absolutely not NC. It took place in Capeside, MA. A Faux-town on Cape Cod in MA. It was filmed in NC, and did not take place there.

Mentioned or was there? X-files and Bones have made the trip up from D.C. although not shot on location.

And, of course, the Simpson's famous "I want to visit a screen door factory" was in regards to Delaware.

Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. 01-08-07 07:18 PM

if you want to ignore the rule about crappy reality TV, for Nebraska you could use Tommy Lee Goes To College
