Afro Samurai

I know Anime doesnt get much love around here but this one may interest some:

Set in a "futuristic, yet feudal Japan," we follow the title character Afro. As he tries to avenge his father's murder.

The cast includes Samuel L. Jackson as the voice of both Afro Samurai and Ninja Ninja, with Ron Perlman as Justice and Kelly Hu as Okiku. This is a joint English/Japanese production with Spike TV. Original Score produced by RZA of the Wu Tang Clan. The series is 5 episodes long and begins airing on Spike TV on Jan 4th.

Animation is stunning. Very stylized and not much dialogue, at least in the 1st ep. But I thought it was pretty good.

I see Spike had a full hour last night, was it 2 seperate episodes or just the pilot repeated?

Just repeats of the pilot.

Just watched some and I doubt I will tune in again. I am a big anime, animation and samurai fan and this just feels like bits and pieces from or attempts at copying many other, better shows/movies. I also do not really care for the animation style (the character design).
