I just watched the episode and I'm confused. Why is Skully in the hospital in the end of the episode. I mean why did she go there? I'm kinda confused... Second how is she pregnant. I've been watching these episodes in order and I don't recall skully and molder getting it on.. Any help appreciated...

ps... Wait I was just thinking... Is it because she kept feeling faint... that still doesn't explain why she'd be in the hospital if she was just pregnant... Nor does this explain how she got pregnant.

Some of this stuff is answered in flashbacks during Season 8. I don't think you really "missed" anything as this was a curve ball they used for the Season 7 cliffhanger.

It's the popular consensus amongst a lot of fans that they hooked up in the Season 7 episode "All Things", and that's how she got preggos.

Not just fans, that hook-up is even mentioned as fact later on in the run of the show (during Season 9, I think).

And just look at the opening scene of "all things" - Mulder is in bed, apparently nude and covered only by sheets, and Scully is standing up in front of a mirror getting dressed. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened earlier in this scene.

I don't think it was ever specifically mentioned, but like you said, it's pretty much laid out there for us to see.

She was brought to the hospital because she actually DID faint, not because she was feeling faint. They ran tests and found out she was pregnant...
