Saturday Morning: Legion of Super Heros & The Batman

Legion: Fun. Basic but fun. The animation quality on the other hand is amazing. Anticipatory and secondary motion was very well done. But as creative as many of the shots were, I can't help noticing that American animators cannot help lifting (directly) from the best of the Japanese productions. There were so many scenes from Ghost in the Shell (1 & 2) in this episode that I almost negated the actual original artistry that went into it. Still, for Saturday morning animation...EXCEPTIONAL!

The official Resident Evil episode of The Batman lifted tons from Blood: The Last Vampire, but Damn! The animation was awesome. One thing that was just bonus, and illustrated the team's commitment to craft was a scene where the Batmobile skidded to a stop and (get this) rocked on its shocks. You don't necessarily need to animate that to sell toys. Kudos to whover put in the extra hours. And what was appearing to be a pedestrian (uber pedestrian) conclusion suddenly had an awesome character defining twist.

Although Legion seems to be aimed at the CW teen crowd it is exceptional and The Batman plain fucking rocks. (all IMO of course)

One thing I did notice, and was perturbed by, was the proliferation of Beauty and Geek ads during these programs. Are my fellow geeks so weak that they just won't use pornography and would rather tolerate vapid skanks to get off?

Does anyone want to end up having children with someone they can't stand to talk to?

Yeah, they're both decent toons. Although I like The Batman a bit more.
I'm not sure what you mean but comparing The Batman Zomibe Ep to Blood:TLV.

The zombie Batgirl was a direct lift from Charon the Pterroptaret (sp?) from the school infirmary scene (after she got cut and roared in the hallway to alert the "barmaid" chief Pterroptaret).

And I agree, The Batman is about three degrees better than Legion (a single degree representing the difference between Bratz and Legion. Sad. I know.)

I just wish I didn't have to wait thru the really lame Tom & Jerry and Scooby Doo toons to get to these...

I don't know, I can see your point but I doubt they ripped the look off on purpose.
