"It's Canada - we didn't get the 80s until 1993". It's funny because it's true.

I'm looking forward to the other four slaps in later episodes.

So long as they remember to actually place them within future episodes.

I mean, I'm just hoping we get a "Swarley" reference once and again...

(EDIT: Does anyone else think that the Robin Sparkles video will be, in it's entirety, an extra on the season two DVD?)

Oh, I completely forgot to mention...

Robin Sparkles, it would appear, has a MySpace page.

(I don't know the rules in regards to posting links to other sites, especially one such as MySpace, so I'll post it as such: It's merely MySpace.com backslash RobinSparkles.)

Sweet, the entire video is on Myspace, but you'll have to turn off the auto-play song when you go to that page if you want the video to sync with its audio.

All that slapping was getting painful to watch.

The backhand at the end was especially vicious I hope we get at least 1 more slap this season.

This was a great episode. I was starting to get the "they are going to have a big fight and break up" vibe but they worked through it. And the Robin Sparkles video was fan-fucking-tastic.

I also loved Marshall's "Just meet with the guy!" about getting married at the MOA. I walk by that chapel all the time.

The slap-bet was so well played in this ep - it more than made up for last week.

Two words: Legen. Dary.

"I'm gonna rock your body 'til Canada Day!"

It would be pretty awesome if they did what Marshall wants and had the wedding in the Mall of America.

I think this is the only show I watch regularly that has a laugh track. I did not expect to like it, but it's pretty damn funny. The video is great.

Just watched the Robin Sparkles Video on myspace. I'm laughing way too hard right now. People at work will wonder what the hell is wrong with me.

Being in Canada, Robin Sparkles reminded me of Candi (Dancing Under A Latin Moon, etc). Any Canucks here agree?

I think this show's sole purpose is to introduce new pop cultural phrases and concepts, and see if they catch fire.

Absolutely agree. It had the hint of turning into a suck episode, but the slap bet kept me going, and the end absolutely drove it home. Best ever!

You don't mean Slap Bets, do you? Because we did them all the time as kids. Or Noogie Bets. And we never cashed in our Slaps right away, half the fun is watching someone squirm, waiting for it. We never thought of the Ten-at-Once-or-Five-Throughout-Eternity stipulation though. Brilliant! Nor did we have Slap Commissioners, Slap Bets were on the honor system.

The best part was Marshall questioning the 80s outfits, since it was probably early to mid 90s. That's the first thing I thought of too. I also loved the scene with Ted interrogating Robin about her wedding. This show gets better and better.

The best episode of the season so far. The whole thing with the "mall" and the slap bet was classic.

I thought that the show's writers were making fun of Alanis Morrisette former life as a pop artist but your comparison to Candi works too.
