One of my co-workers has a theory that the Grunberg/Sylar/Radiation Man story is unfolding 5-10 years previous to the rest of the stories we're watching. The little girl Grunberg saved is Claire, who has her memory wiped before being placed with her current family for protection. The more I think about this theory, the more I think it makes sense. Anyone think of anything that would rule it out?

you could check this by looking at what model cars the cops are driving or what is parked on the street.
I think this is a great idea - but are the writers this smart? I don't think so. Joe 6pack couldn't grasp this "twist" and quickly tune into Dancing with the Stars

I really, really *want* to like this show. And, in fairness, it has had a couple of decent episodes. But the writing is very erratic and last night was an example of how dumbed-down this can get.

I see this show following one of two paths:
1. The writers/producers will see the show's relative success as validation of everything they're doing, and will continue on their merry way.
2. The writers/producers realize that the show is succeeding somewhat in spite of the lack of quality writing/acting, and decide to poach some good writers from Lost, 24, etc. in an effort to improve upon a solid foundation.
I fear they will take option 1.

Something about that scene just really bugged the hell out of me. It just felt so contrived. From episode to episode I switch back and forth between being really annoyed and feeling some hope because the writing got better.

I didn't have a problem with the window. He didn't have a lot of time to go running into the desert looking for a rock and he DOES have the power to move through solid objects. Made perfect sense that he would try to use it.
I didn't really have any problems with this episode. It was definitely a filler but the Heroes are continuing to meet up and I'm looking forward to where the show goes from here.

I don't think the Burning Man / Caveman dude is Sylar - just another in the endless revelation that people are getting weird powers and his manifested with his anger over his wife's doctor not being able to save her - his death being more accidental. Her death actually being caused by him becoming radioactive and causing cancer.
Nathan is turning out to be a major craphat. A few people wondered why Peter wouldn't blindly accept the story of Nathan's kidnapping, but Peter did accept that Nathan couldn't buy the painting, which was a lie. So, Nathan lies. A lot.
