Friday Night Lights "Who's Your Daddy?" 10/24

I love this show... here's a clip from tonight:

http://tv.yahoo.com/feature/fall06/?d=504

Everyone remember who Matt has a crush on? Coach is telling him to do whatever it takes to get loosened up. Too Funny!

Loved the coach's reaction when he saw the QB chatting up his daughter.

I LOVE this show. It gets better every week!

I love the interaction between the Coach and his wife.
And yes.. his reaction when he figured out that he basically told Matt to get in the back seat with his daughter was hysterical! Priceless.

I LOVE this show!

And I know I sound like a broken record, but I'm going to say it again....
Kyle Chandler has given us Emmy performances every week.

Another solid episode this week. I'm loving the buildup to the big game with their cross-town rivals.

Anyone thinking Voodoo's gonna get turned into a wide receiver?

Coach Taylor had to be shitting bricks when he made the connection that Matt had the hots for his daughter after giving him that pep talk to get loose and focused. Haha.

I hate to say it, but despite the vomit inducing camera work, the show is beginning to grow on me. I like the Seracen kid, and the paralyzed quarterback story is very moving.

No need to hate saying it... Stand proud!
This is a great show. And it would be a damn shame if it gets canceled.

Unfortunately, its ratings are poor. It barely beat out "Gilmore Girls" (which as a steady core group of viewers), and FNL contines to shed viewers (only did a 4.0/6 share, vs. GG doing its typical 3.2/5 share). Let's hope it can bring in more viewers next Monday after "Heroes" as it gets tested in "Studio 60"'s 10 p.m. EST timeslot.

I'm finally on board with this show. I thought this was the best episode yet. Coach Chandler's wife was great, and lookin good, and their convo under the table was so funny. hah.

Saracen is a really good kid...I hope he starts next week...I think he will because he seemed pretty determined now that he talked to his crush and was throwin in the yard before bed. Good for him.

For all you Texans, did you see the supermarket they were in? A little H-E-B time...probably it's first time in a tv show. They got some product placement with their private label soda on the conveyor at the checkout

Like I said...best episode yet. I almost passed it off this week but I'm glad I didn't. I'm in. And I hope it's ratings go up on Monday and it sticks in that slot. (mainly cause I don't have class and can watch it in HD) Studio 60 needs to stick around, but it needs a different time slot prolly. Whatever. Just don't be cancellin anything yet, NBS.

If anyone is interested.. NBC has some deleted scenes available.
It says to check back every day for new scenes.

Liked this as well, especially the LOL scene with Coach telling his wife that he told the QB to get his daughter in the backseat.

So it seems to me that the hurt QB will eventually be on the murderball team, or whatever wheelchair sport that his roommate is involved in.

I thought it was great as well.

The pep talk and the reaction were funny and normally the Jason story would drag, but they've done a good job of it. The only thing I could do with out is the Riggins/Lyla stuff.

Lyla

she wasn't around much this episode, and I suffered for it.

Wow. Those deleted scenes from Wind Sprints -- those people of Dillion who live vicariously through the football team are the sorriest bunch of people I've ever seen.

This show has really been great lately and come into it's own. I'm really surprised at the amount of emotional depth they're cramming into the hour, as well as the football and some decent humour. If it gets axed I'll be extremely pissed, but I don't want to lose Studio 60 to save this... Kyle Chandler is really turning in a star performance week to week.

I'm rootin for Matt Saracin, with the team and with the coaches daughter. It was great when Coach realized what he had just told Matt to do to loosen up.

Oh, and more Layla please.

the injured QB storyline was getting stagnant, but it's definitely moving in the right direction now. loved the scene where his roommate is yelling at him and he knocks the cup off the table.

i could also do without the lyla/tim stuff. but we'll see where it goes.

and of course, the whole "get a girl into the back seat" sequence was really good/funny. as well as saracen having to go to the recital (of course he didn't mind). and i agree, emmy-deserving work from chandler.

the car smashing scene was also well done. saracen letting out all his frustrations long after his teammates had bailed. that kid has a lot going on.
