Halloween 2(tv version???)on AMC 10-23

I noticed a few weeks ago that Sci-fi Channel showed Halloween 2-the tv version-which I haven't seen in ages so I guess I will keep an eye out for it.Does anyone know if the added scenes were filmed in widescreen?

Is the TV scenes not available elsewhere? I remember the ending being different from the Theatrical version.

I don't think it is available unless another region has it.

I know there were extra scenes filmed for the original Halloween broadcast on TV, but I wasn't aware there were extra scenes for Halloween 2. What are the extra scenes?

I recorded this on my DVR last night but haven't checked to see if it's the tv cut.

The most noticeable difference in the tv version is that
Spoiler:
instead of being M.I.A., Jimmy is in the ambulance with Laurie and the end of the film.

I didn't realize that either. IMDB gives you the alternate TV version being mentioned here. All in all, not a big difference IMHO, but some of the stuff on IMDB makes you think this was the most tweaked and tinkered film in history!

Just watched the recording watch night and it is in fact the special TV version. I'm going to try and figure ouot how I can transfer it to my computer to burn to a DVD, since it's clear Universal will never bother with it.

I'm still holding out hope that Universal will let Anchor Bay tackle this at some point. They've had distribution rights to other Uni properties (AOD, The Car, etc.) Seems like a natural fit.

It seems odd that we'd still only have a bare-bones DVD release of this going into 2007. Seems to me that a new edition (even if it just has a commentary and separate deleted scenes) would sell like pancakes.
