Spoiler:
Newly hired Tracy Jordan causes plenty of friction on “The Girlie Show” set: His larger-than-life persona pushes insecure star Jenna Maroney out of the limelight; he rubs writers the wrong way; and the meddling Donaghy will do anything to keep him happy, including changing the title of the show to “TGS with Tracy Jordan.” It's up to Liz to unite the crew and pull the show together, and she ends up getting help from a most unlikely source---Jordan himself.

Pretty funny at times, but the show still has room for improvement. This episode is a little more fun than the first. Baldwin, Morgan, and Krakowski all have good lines. Katie Bowden is hot.

and now: a plug for You Tube...

Snowmaker 10-18-06 07:08 PM

That guy quizzing Alec kept holding up the same picture.

Where was that guy going with the cardboard Darth Vader stand-up?

Turd Ferguson 10-18-06 07:30 PM

The fancy liquor Tracy gave Twofer on the boat was just a $30 fifth of Pinch.

Patman 10-18-06 07:32 PM

It's silly and zany, I'll give it another 2 weeks to see if they find a rhythm now that they have sort of ingratiated Tracy Jordan in with the rest of the cast and crew.

astrochimp 10-18-06 07:44 PM

I liked tonights ep alot more than the pilot.

Brent_MN 10-18-06 07:45 PM

all the stuff on the boat was pretty good...I was hoping Judah Friedlander's character woulda jumped off the boat with the tray of cheese and crackers.... lol

Mercury&Solace 10-19-06 01:07 AM

I loved the episode and I am now in love with Katie Bowden.

Dear Katie millions of males are now jerking off to you tonight and I am one of them.

Jadzia 10-19-06 01:37 AM

I liked the pilot much better than this one. Not as many laughs for me.

Why is this show so dark? Even when they were indoors in an office, it looked so dark.

marty888 10-19-06 08:23 AM

It kept me smiling, with a few laugh-out-loud moments - I'll definitely stick with this one.

Geofferson 10-19-06 08:38 AM

I'll continue to stick with it as well. Worth watching for Baldwin's scenes alone.

"You all like pizza, don't you?"

Charlie Goose 10-19-06 08:39 AM

I liked it just as much as the pilot. When Tracy Jordan was being too normal and well-behaved on the yacht, you knew that he didn't own it. I was half-expecting Lemon to open a door and find the real owners tied up.

Alec Baldwin is such a natural comedic actor, I wonder what would've happened if he'd gone that route early in his career.

Groucho 10-19-06 08:40 AM

This show isn't doing it for me, except for Tracy Morgan. I can't imagine how bad it would be if he weren't on the show. Shooting the promos was great.

das Monkey 10-19-06 08:43 AM

"Hi, I'm Tracy Jordan. I'm black, NBC. Very proud, like peacocks. Right, Janet?"

I thought this was funnier than last week.

Brack 10-19-06 09:32 AM

missed last weeks. this is a pretty funny show. Alec Baldwin's too fucking funny.

cornflakeguy 10-19-06 09:34 AM

"Relax your balls."
"Ziggy: From the cartoon 'Ziggy'."

mdc3000 10-19-06 09:36 AM

I like this show a lot actually...and i was expecting to hate it! "I didn't say the N word did I?"

MATT

BDB 10-19-06 10:05 AM

I really like this with the exception of krakowski

Cusm 10-19-06 11:12 AM

Liked this episode 100% more than the first one.

TGM 10-19-06 11:49 AM

Krakowski is most certainly the weak link of this show...

Derrich 10-19-06 11:52 AM

Its funny because the conversation between Liz and the lead actress is probably the exact same conversation that Fey had to have with Rachel Dratch when she was cut from the show.

That was the line that had me laughing out loud. That and the 'injecting chicken nuggets' line from last week are enough for me to stay tuned. Tracy Morgan is hysterical, he was underused on SNL.

That was the funniest line of the episode.

Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. 10-19-06 12:33 PM

Didn't like this show. But I also can't stand Tracy Morgan.

lotsofdvds 10-19-06 01:00 PM

Overnights say the ratings were down 21% from last week. And last week was already pretty low. Link
