Affirmative!
Hope people give it a shot. One of the better ones of the season and real treat to see Sarah Jane again plus you get to see Anthony Steward Head act all evil.

Just finished it a few minutes ago. Although my experience with the Doctor over the years has been spotty.... I must say I got a little misty eyed at the end of the ep... And Rose is NOT happy the Doctor is cool with her BF along for the ride now...

Spoiler:
For some reason they completely drop that sub-plot in the next episode.

I'm really enjoying this series, despite not having seen any of the previous incarnations (before Eccleston that is). So despite not having a history of Sarah Jane personally, it's a credit to the show that I still felt I understood what it must feel like. If I could even be so bold, I would also conjecture it's a commentary on shows that have multiple incarnations and don't pay any attention to the events and ideas established there, or even previous events within the same series coughStarTrekVoyagercough.

I know some folks bag on series for too much "continuity porn", (the criticisms of Enterprise season four come to mind). But I feel it's far better to tackle them head on, even if it's a dramatic stretch, then to just toss them aside. If you'll permit another Trek reference, Yesterday's Enterprise went a long way to mending a big rift in the show's history with regards to Tasha. There was no reason whatsoever "in-universe" to deal with her again, it was a purely meta response to the poor writing in Skin of Evil.

I have read various sites giving general histories of Doctor Who, so I knew K9 existed, but I had basically written it off as a gimmick. But again, the writing and performance of the actors gave him a gravitas I'd wager many folks weren't expecting.

I'm really enjoying this show, and I really have to thank all the fans on this forum constantly making a noise that got me interested.

I was very suprised by the producers tackling the idea of loss on Doctor Who. Using Sarah was almost a stroke of genius. It was interesting to see Sarah and Rose bond by discussing the Doctor (cliched, I know, but was played in a very interesting way).

Really enjoying Mickey when he shows up ("I'm the tin dog.")

Hope he continues to bring the funny.

Wondering if we see the other time traveller this season?

Again, great episode.

I loved that episode and all the nostalgia with SJS and K-9. When she first meets the new Doctor and when he leaves were great eye-watering moments. I don't care much for the "Doctor is my boyfriend" angle, but it adds some realism and depth I suppose. It's not such a big deal as long as it stays in the background.
