But the poor, poor pitiable me shtick continues, How many times does Betty need to be told that she's OK? She may have cojones ... but she sure doesn't have a backbone.

I thought that it was okay. I'll keep taping it and watching it afterwards.

I'm tired of hearing this comparison. It's really based on "Betty La Fea" a Columbian soap-opera made around 1999. The cliches are basically the stuff that drives latin soaps. While not perfect, I'd rather watch them than the never-ending soaps CBS, NBC, and ABC put out.

The scenes from the TV of "novelas" are insanely funny to me. Kind of ironic in a way because Salma Hayek has a history of basically denouncing her soap past. I wonder how she got those actors to agree to film that stuff? Last week's scenes with Marlene Favela and Sebastian Rulli were funny.

I've enjoyed the ones I've seen so far, but agree the whole premise they've based the first couple on will get pretty old quick.
