Nothing topped Space: 1999 when it came to that, IMO.

I can't find an image of the infamous "This Episode" title card, but here's a fan video of a Babylon 5 intro done in 1999 style: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sut9OJwWr-Y

Agreed! But I really like the music and I like the first part of the intro. It gets me in the mood for the show. I've gotten used to closing my eyes when it hits the drumbeats.

Personally this bugs me because I really like the intro's... but i was wondering what other people thing about this?

ER started that this season as well. Personally I think we have Lost and their 5 second title intro to thank. For the most part I think it's a good thing.

I also agree that it's a result of more commercials and not wanting to lose even more show.
