:jawdrop:  Wow.

Spoiler:
With the grandparents storyline, and Ephram getting drunk, something tells me it's going to be a depressing episode.

Everwood 11-11

I thought it was a pretty good episode, do you think the son will really movie away? he is like pretty much all the drama on the show, i dont know what they could do with it, if they decided to move him, it would start to stink maybee.

freedexter 11-11-02 11:58 PM

You need spoiler tags. There are some people who do watch the show on Sundays, you know.

Spoiler:
And to respond to your question...Ephram, the character would not leave the show. Wheter he goes to New York or not, it doesn't matter. No show would get rid of a main character halfway through a season. If he does go, by the end of his story arc, he'll be back.

It was a pretty solid episode. It moved along a big slower than previous episodes, but still interesting. I see that most of the narration was gone, although I missed the first few minutes of the show.

hahn 11-12-02 12:31 AM

To be fair, he DID title the thread 11-11.

Don't watch much TV, do you? :)

Anyway, sorry I've been absent from the threads. Scheduling problems presented a backlog of episodes, but I made sure I caught up last night. I'm still very much impressed with this show and borderline on proclaiming it the best new drama of the season. This latest episode was a bit of a downer, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. They're really starting to develop the peripheral characters more too, and I like that.

Good ep again. Ephraims been practically crying out for moving back to NY in every episode, now he has a chance. In the end, he's gonna stay so he can pine for Amy.

dek 11-12-02 08:53 AM

BTW,

I stayed long enough to move on

line was OUCH

Everwood - 11/18

Really cheesy episode, but oh so good. The narration sucked, but it was still pretty good. I thought it was a very "Awww," fuzzy-feeling episode, and it worked for me.

The episode really made the Abbots so much more likeable. Edna wasn't that bad, and Dr. Abbot was really shone as a parent, and Bright was really great. I'm suprised at about how enthusiastic I am about him, but I really loved the Delia/Bright scenes. They were good, really.

Nice to see that whole Ephram leaving storyline wrapped up pretty nicely too. I didn't think it was unbelievable or anything.

So, yes, I liked it. I wasn't thrilled with next week's previews, but if you didn't catch it tonight, remember that it airs again at 6 PM on Sunday....(hint, hint)

BobSoup 11-19-02 12:37 AM

I really enjoyed this episode just because of the chemistry between the characters. I really think they did good with casting for this show. Next weeks show doesnt look as good but ill watch it anyways.

dek 11-19-02 03:41 AM

Yep, another good episode. Sooner or later Andy's going to have to tell Ephraim why he moved them there in the first place, I liked the grandfather at the end telling the story as well. Nice touch.

Next weeks ep looks promising :)

This weeks ep of Ed better come off good or Everwood is going to overtake it in my house :D

das Monkey 11-19-02 07:23 AM

Another solid episode. I commented last week that I really liked how they were branching out and developing Bright's character and the Abbott's marriage. I hope to see more of both, and this week gave Bright even more depth. His scenes with Delia were wonderful. While a bit cheesy, there's an honesty to the characters and their portrayal that makes it worth it -- life is cheesy sometimes.

I fell out of my chair laughing when Bright walked into the Brown's home and an ennamoured Delia took off her baseball cap and primped herself. We were just talking about how Delia never takes her hat off... and then "bam"... its off.

Wonderful episode... can't wait for next week's.

Jadzia 11-20-02 09:59 PM

This was the first episode I actually liked Bright. This really fleshed out his character and I loved the scenes with him & Delia.

I usually love Edna, but she seemed a bit off in this episode. Not as likeable as normally is (I think she is such an awesome character.) I think they had to write her much harder than usual in order ot create more tension between her & Bright to build up to the ending.

You know, when this show started I thought that Ephram kid was kind of funny-looking. I don't if it's just me or the writing but he seems to get more handsome every week.

Probably trying to make him look more out of place in Everwood and as it goes along, he'll blend in with the rest of em.

BTW, I was reading some website and I came across some spoilers for I believe 3 episodes away. Don't read if you don't wanna know :D

Spoiler:
The episode they were talking about was Amy and Collin were elected homecoming king and queen. The stiff is gonna wake up in 2 eps I would say.

Everwood: A Thanksgiving Tale (Episode 11) 11/25
Spoiler:
In hopes of raising his little sister Delia's spirits, Ephram does his best to recreate his mother's Thanksgiving traditions as the Brown family spends their first holiday without her. Meanwhile, in order to save a patient's life, Dr. Brown must find the man's missing brother, who is believed to live in the woods; and curmudgeonly Dr. Abbott attempts to befriend the entire town when he has a health scare and questions whether anyone would attend his funeral.

It looks to be another good episode tonight. :D

dek 11-25-02 06:47 PM

Yeah! I accidentally found a spoiler last week for next weeks episode, that one will be spectacular

just watched this show for the first time tonight - not too bad.

Mantecore 11-25-02 10:01 PM

Good, solid episode, not previews for next week :(

BobSoup 11-25-02 11:58 PM

Good episode. Maybe there wont be a new episode next week?

You are correct. Repeat.

From my TV listings:

The Great Doctor Brown
Andy's dedication to his work once again strains his relationship with his son; Ephram's interest in Amy continues to grow; Delia gets into trouble when she challenges her teacher's rules.
Anyhow, the episode was good. I thought a holiday episode would be more...what's the word I'm looking for? Charming. It wasn't bad, but I liked the previous episodes better. Ephram is such a good brother, though.

I was pleased that Nina once again served a purpose in this episode. I'd like to see more of her, as well as Bright. They are severely underused characters.

The ending narration was...odd. I understand the metaphor and whatnot, but it was still weird.

edit: Holy crap. I guess the WB used up all the new episodes, and we will have to wait a bit for the next episode. How long? According to E!'s Wanda/Kirstin:

The next new episode isn't going to air until (brace yourself) January 13.

I really enjoyed this episode. I like Thanksgiving shows.
Spoiler:
Do any of you think Ephram and Amy will hook up after the kiss yesterday?

Nope.
Spoiler:
Not anytime soon anyhow. Her father already said that he senses that she does not intend to pursue anything romantic with him. And she did not deny it. Then, he says that she must give him up. Plus, we know already from previous spoilers that Colin WILL be back.

Episode 12: Vegetative State
Spoiler:
A heartbroken Ephram finds himself the odd man out as Amy prepares for Colin's homecoming. Meanwhile, Andy and Dr. Abbott join the town in a debate over the use of medicinal marijuana after a large quantity is discovered in a deceased woman's greenhouse; and Andy provides medical guidance to Nina after her son's teacher suggests she put him on Ritalin.
