The Amazing Race 10 -- "Oh, Wow! It's Like One of Those Things..." -- 10/01/06

"Oh, Wow! It's Like One of Those Things You See on TV!"
Spoiler:
Tempers rise when one team accuses another of not playing fair; one team makes a crucial mistake when members board the wrong bus; money becomes an issue when teams must earn cash to cover one leg of the race.

Producer(s): Jerry Bruckheimer, Bertram Van Munster, Jonathan Littman, Hayma Screech Washington.

Original Airdate: October 1, 2006.

Also in case you didn't know, TAR has been renewed by CBS for an 11th season.

Red Dog 10-01-06 08:40 AM

Scheduling and DVR Alert - it is a CBS Football Doubleheader day, therefore almost all areas will be airing a 4:15 pm game. I expect a sizeable runover in coverage so pad accordingly.

West Coast rules! Nothing to worry about here.

movieking 10-01-06 02:12 PM

I usually pad by at least 30 minutes and keep an eye on it. Since other channels air it here in Canada at the same time, I can always pick up one of their broadcasts if need be.

I am guessing that the Cho brothers are gone tonight.

clckworang 10-01-06 03:14 PM

I would like to thank LorenzoL for including the little description for each team, like male models and beauty contestants, etc., in the poll because I can almost never remember any names on this show. This year, the only names I have committed to memory so far is Tom and Terry, and that's only because I think of the Tom and Jerry cartoons.

Groucho 10-01-06 03:27 PM

I voted for "Team Cletus" this time around.

OVERTIME ALERT: Headed to OT in Washingon, so expect even longer delays.

Red Dog 10-01-06 06:31 PM

Not too long though. ;)

Red Dog 10-01-06 06:35 PM

TAR will start at 8:34 ET.

Patman 10-01-06 06:49 PM

It's just easier to record the entire CBS Sunday lineup starting with TAR and pad Without a Trace an extra hour. No worries, mate.

astrochimp 10-01-06 07:04 PM

Note for Canadians its not delayed on CTV.

movieking 10-01-06 08:15 PM

It's over (here in Canada anyway)

Spoiler:
Duke and Lauren are gone!

skatefan20 10-01-06 08:15 PM

Because of a penalty

Spoiler:

for travelling on motorbikes, Tom and Jerry almost got the boot, but Duke and Dyke

were eliminated.

How long do we have to wait till Team Cletus and this "Back Pack" all turn on each other?

astrochimp 10-01-06 08:41 PM

Team i picked to be eliminated was 1st :p

Mok 10-01-06 08:45 PM

Rats I just got home to watch the show and, I get 60mins instead ahhhhhhh!

Patman 10-01-06 08:59 PM

Damn, I wished that penalized team got the boot.

MadMark 10-01-06 09:13 PM

Phil (to T&T in the penalty box): This must really suck for you guys

I'm not liking the pattern of these eliminations so far, so. . . . .

I really, really hope Peter & Sarah (especially Peter!!), Lyn & Karlyn, Tom & Terry, and Rob & Kimberly make it really, really far in the race. -pray- ;)

"Back Pack"? :yack: Alliances suck. Run your own race.

astrochimp 10-01-06 09:34 PM

This is only my 3rd time with TAR(started with the Rob & Amber one, skipped family edition) but this one is barely holding my interest.Maybe cuz i dont really like any of the teams.

Patman 10-01-06 09:38 PM

Why didn't Peter put Sarah on his back in the final stretch run? It was painful to see her 'run' on her hands and one good leg.

Red Dog 10-01-06 09:47 PM

Boring episode - the tasks were lame.

sjrab16 10-01-06 10:54 PM

Have not watched tonights episode yet, but I am with some of you that this year seems pretty boring. Not sure if it is because I am tired of the show though, or if it actually just people that suck and I do not really care who wins or loses.

Arpeggi 10-01-06 10:55 PM

Damn, I wanted Peter/Sarah to be gone.

JasonF 10-01-06 11:08 PM

TAR usually doens't get good until there are 5 or 6 teams left, so I'm not too surprised that it's been lackluster so far. I will say that I'm disappointed in most of the teams that have been eliminated -- every time I start liking a team, they get booted.

magiccmom 10-01-06 11:31 PM

Duke did himself in when he took that Vietnamese woman to "help'? him. That cost him so much time, and then having to walk when everyone else took the 2 dollar cab ride. What did he gain from having that woman with him?
