CSI - "Built to Kill" - 9/28/06

"Built to Kill"
Spoiler:
Grissom finds clues in a miniature replica of a crime scene from the death of a rock star.

tommyp007 09-28-06 09:16 PM

great ep. I wonder how much longer the miniature crime scene plot will continue?

BTW: the nanny

TheStoicPaisano 09-28-06 09:21 PM

I find it interesting that they picked NOW to introduce another actress as Lindsey.

 @ Liz Vassey.

Goldberg74 09-28-06 10:17 PM

I wouldn't call Danny Bonaduce a "rock star" but he makes a good stiff.

While the last scene of the ep tugged at my heart strings, I couldn't help but laugh at the victim's face as they laid there dying/dead, with their tongue slightly sticking out. It just looked funny.

I :lol:ed at Eckley's line to Sara... "you would agree with [Grissom]"... and then they stood there and stared at each other.

Oh hell, me too. I used to hate that guy too, but I have come to appreciate his role on the show.

I enjoyed this episode a lot.

MrX 09-28-06 11:21 PM

I thought it was a very good episode.

I figured they would drag the thing with Catherine out for a while and then the kidnapping but I'm glad they wrapped it up tonight.

Grissom and Doc Robbins doing the autopsy:lol:

Deftones 09-29-06 12:04 AM

Talk about a crazy episode. It was good, but just seems out of place in the CSI world.

alfredog1976 09-29-06 12:34 AM

Was it me or did Danny Bonaduce playing dead blink at the beginning of the episode?

Bronkster 09-29-06 01:29 AM

I feel I missed something - what what the significance of what Grissom saw on the back of the little picture? Or is it an unknown to lead into future episodes?

The only thing I could think of is "Green Eyed Baby"

It could be some kind of clue - like one of this guy's songs

marty888 09-29-06 08:46 AM

I haven't seen the series from its inception, so I'm wondering if this is the first time that a crime story arc has extended over more than two epsiodes.

Deftones 09-29-06 10:21 AM

No. They have had a couple. The season finale where
Spoiler:
where Nick was buried alive in that coffin
and I think there may have been a few more.

Nick's kidnapping was 2 episodes if you count the 2 parter. There have been cases that transcend on NY (the guy who killed the fired CSI - fear my lack of names).

I was hoping it would take another episode or 2. It would break away from typical survivor ( should say CSI I was actually watching survivor while I wrote), but having everything nice and cuddled up within 1 episode seemed too cute and friendly, especially when it was dealing with a main character.

I think this is going to be the only CSI I tune into this season. The only reason I've been watching Miami and New York are Proctor and Belknap.

Melina Kanakaredes is not too harsh on the eyes, either. Personally, I think the women of New York are the best out of the 3 different show "flavors."

So we are judging them as "flavors" now?
LOL

Also had the serial killer who outsmarted Grissom...I want to say Season 1 or 2 maybe? I think the guy turned out to be really a female, I may be mistaken.

Shazam 09-29-06 01:22 PM

MUCH better than the nearly superfluous season premiere.

There was a crime arc in the first season; it was that guy that killed people and put them into a bathtub.

Red Dog 09-29-06 07:00 PM

The kidnapper wasn't the sharpest knife in the block.

Very strange how they played that out. I agree with the poster above that making an on-going thing (although I know that's not the procedural style), might have worked better.

Chauzer 09-30-06 12:46 AM

awesome episode

i was glad that the catherine story ended, it wouldve sucked if it was a season long side story of her trying to figure out who "raped" her.

TheMovieman 09-30-06 02:04 PM

Yeah, I'm glad the kidnapping was one episode as well. The reason I like the show is because we have enough serialized shows like Lost, 24 and the like that it's nice to have a show that's basically self contained. You can miss half the season and probably won't be in the dark too much.

Patman 10-01-06 07:17 PM

Lindsay sure did grow up fast these past years. I think they aged her about 2-3 years more from her starting age in the initial season.

I think Warrick suspects something between Grissom and Sidle (basing that from last week's episode). Sidle looks better with the hair parted from her left side.

I couldn't believe I was seeing Sean Young on TV. That was just odd.

Geofferson 10-01-06 08:04 PM

I enjoyed the 2-part premiere. The eerie score that played off and on reminded me of A Nightmare on Elm Street...

NORML54601 10-02-06 12:52 AM

So did Catherine actually get raped or did the guy just take pictures of her? Didn't the rape kit come back negative?

Patman 10-02-06 07:30 AM

No evidence of spermacide, so Catherine concluded no rape.

I think the lab girl in Vegas blows them all away. Too bad she only gets one or two lines every 3rd or 4th episode. :( They need to bring her out and put Sidle in the lab.

Not really. Wasn't she around 5 or 6 the first year? This is season 7. That would make her 12-13.

Good episode. Much better than the premier.
