House

from the clips it looks like an interesting episode.

RichC2 09-12-06 07:26 PM

The writing seems... off... this episode.

Ayre 09-12-06 07:34 PM

Yeah, it seemed off last week as well .. at least to me.

May I be the first to say: "Unidentified Flowing Orifice"

RichC2 09-12-06 07:40 PM

Last week was off a little, but tihs just seems way off base. :( Not a horrible ep by any means, but they need to fire some of their new writers (Granted they got any). That or House as a nicer guy just isn't working :D. That said, the conclusion was fun :).

Snowmaker 09-12-06 09:10 PM

Best line of the show was when House asked Foreman to steal the HDTV for him.

B.A. 09-12-06 09:56 PM

The HDTV line got a chiuckle out of me, too.

I missed seeing Cuddy laugh every time she was around house. I got a kick out of that last week.

cornflakeguy 09-12-06 11:42 PM

Cuddy hot > Cameron hot

boredsilly 09-13-06 03:50 AM

I didn't care for this eps case at all.

That's the problem. The comedy is still good, but this is the second case in a row that is way out there. Foreman's the neurologist. Why is House the one poking around in the kid's brain? They need to reign it in a little. The whole thing with Cuddy and Wilson screwing with his head is lame, but that appears to be over.

mndtrp 09-13-06 05:52 AM

I enjoyed it. I could have done without the "snap" comment appearing again, but it could have been worse. I missed the first episode this year, and he seems nicer than last year.

Ayre 09-13-06 06:20 AM

Everyone in the show seems to care about House's feelings and whether or not it will affect his judgement. House has become the center of their universe, not the bane of their existence.

themovieguru 09-13-06 06:25 AM

I liked it when he told them it was hanging on the left side of his pants today or something like that which was causing him to limp! The cain is back! House telling Cuddy about her boobs.

Chew 09-13-06 06:34 AM

Hopefully, the return of the cane means a return to the storytelling we've been used to. The first two this season haven't been quite right.

cornflakeguy 09-13-06 09:32 AM

My friend watching this ep with me, who doesn't watch it at all, asked me, "Why does everyone seem to care so much about his feeling and wellbeing when he doesn't give back anything?"

I dunno.

"She's being metaphorical. I don't know where she's going with it, but I can smell what the Rock is cookin'."

Enjoyed the aliens at the end (never thought I'd see that in show grounded in reality as House is). I also remembered the chimera angle from the CSI episode (and Mission Impossible 2).

It's a dangerous game to undermine people's mojo, but House went right back on the offensive once Cuddy gave it up. Loved House needling Cuddy about the pregnancy, and confronting Wilson about his part in it.

I dunno.

Because he's fucking off-the-chart brilliant, that's why.

Loved the X-files bit :)

And even when the writing is off, House is still better than 95% of the shows on tv.

bothanspy 09-13-06 02:37 PM

My favorite part was when House returns with the piece of metal and tells the group that it could not be identified. Chase's response was great!

Other than that, I have nothing constructive to add, save that Jennifer Morrison should always be shot in close-up.

"I can smell what the Rock is cooking." rotfl

I liked the episode. Glad he looks to be going back to his miserable self.

valkyrie 09-13-06 03:23 PM

I too liked this episode. I think they're trying to show how much his pain and addiction really impact his life, and those around him. I think Wilson and Cuddy are actually worried that the treatment may have failed and despite him being a jerk, they genuinely care about him.

Quite a few laughs in this one, and I like the direction the show is going with him back to being in pain. It makes the show more gritty and realistic, and I really found the whole "I'm missing muscle in my thigh and now I can run 8 miles" stuff a little unbelievable.

SleepyW 09-13-06 03:59 PM

I thought for sure someone would have mentioned House's lines that got me laughing the most. When the boy went missing....something like::

"You search Alpha Centauri, I'll take Tattooine. Let's just hope he doesn't have a hyperdrive or we'll NEVER find him!"

This type of comment lost all meaning when someone used it in the Prison Break thread:lol:
