I didn't see Red in his prime, but I grew up watching him in his later 70's work in Pete's Dragon and The Poseidon Adventure. RIP Red.

I'll probably put Pete's Dragon on tonight in tribute. Good stuff.

He was really memorable as Ruby Roubadoux in a couple of early episodes of ER, where he taught Carter a Very Valuable Lesson -- a role he reprised during Noah Wyle's last full season of ER. Rest in Peace, Red!

Now this is downright spooky - there was a Red Buttons question on Jeopardy! tonight.

I always remember him as "Sailor" in They Shoot Horses, Don't They? Excellent performance.

He'll be missed.

I can still hear little voice as he was telling Carol Lindley's character to come with him in Poseidon Adventure

I just finished watching The Longest Day this week and there he was hanging from his parachute getting shot in the foot. How ironic
