Unless it is a really great episode, tonight will probably be my last episode of this show. Aside from a few things here and there, I haven't enjoyed this season at all.

Wow. I think this season has been fantastic so far.
I feel the same way, Chew.

This season has been a complete rollercoaster, much like tonights episode. Not nearly as good as the first 2 seasons, but still the best show on TV in my opinion.
you can't top a line like that.

I thought the whole "zombie" thing was hilarious, plus the ending with Sheila getting pissed off had me laughing too (even if it was meant to be serious)

I think the problem this season for me is that its a lot of the love triangle crap and nothing super serious. Like last season you have his son dying, him trying to stay sober, etc. Things that are very serious. This season, not including hte first 2 episodes, you have a lot of this trying to get back at his ex, trying to not hook up with Sheila, etc. Its just kinda boring. The comedy is great, but what this show so unique was its movement from one extreme, comedy, to another, serious issues.
just my thoughts.

I kinda agree with you, Joeboo, but on the other hand, how much more bad shit can happen to Tommy? There have been some fairly serious moments so far, such as Lou's downward spiral and the thing with Franco's daughter, but: 1) they aren't happening to Tommy so the impact is much less, and 2) the serious things, such as what I mentioned, are only hit on very briefly and then swept under the rug so they could bring more funny.
I am torn, I guess. I am enjoying the light(er)hearted fare so far, but at times it has bored me too.
P.S. Does anyone else find Janet hot? Man she looked good tonight.

Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't they edit the sex scenes so that it doesn't look like 15 seconds of real-time from start to finish? Unless it really is 15 seconds of real-time from start to finish for Tommy.

Did anyone else notice that in the first 15 minutes or so of the show, that the audio was a little off? The whole scene with Janet and Tommy's brother in the beginning and especially the scene at the firehouse when they were discussing what to buy, the words didn't seem to match, like watching a kung fu movie. It seemed to straighten itself out after the next commercial.

This is the first episode in the entire series run that felt like filler. It felt like a Sopranos episode.
I still loved it though. My only beef was having the cop think Garrity was a zombie. That was a little too cartoonish. The people in the store, sure, that's fine.

This is the first season of Rescue Me that I've watched and I have a question.
Who is the lady who was screaming at the end of this episode and what is her significance?

She was the wife of his cousin (and best friend), a firefighter who died on 9/11 - you see Tommy imagine him and 'talk' to him in certain scenes.
They've banged on and off throughout the history of the show.

Great episode! Johnny's ex is smokin! As well as Janet tonight! I sat up from my bed and sat extra close to the screen for that scene. Whatever happened to that situation with the Claps?

It's starting to get tedious with every woman who shows up on the show begging Tommy for sex. I'm beginning to think Leary is in the middle of a large ego trip.

I agree that the lack of serious storylines detracts somewhat from the show, but it's still the best thing on TV right now IMO. Janet is HOT! I guess she wanted to feel in control again.
