I've never seen either show. I was planning to buy Brisco County as a blind buy, but the $100 price tag ($70 on sale) is kind of off-putting.

Jack of All Trades is only around $30 - are both shows equally good?

Also, what are the production values like for 'Brisco County'. Was it a 'cheap, but fun' show like Xena or Hercules?

It was a cheap but fun show like Hercules. As much as I enjoyed it, it was nowhere near worth a blind buy around $70. Never watched Jack of All Trades, but I have to believe there are better places to spend $30.

I think comparing Jack to Hercules is also pretty accurate: low production values, but "fun".

With one major difference.

Bruce Campbell > Kevin Sorbo.

The only downside is you have to put up with multiple Vernon Troyer guest appearances.

Jack is definitely like a half-hour version of Hercules and Xena (if you've seen Cleopatra, it's just like that). Brisco had a lot more dramatic elements to it.

Brisco > Jack of all Trades

Jack of all Trades > 90% of everything else on TV
