Now with Deadwood and Entrourage back all I need is The Wire and this would be tv nirvana.

First 4 minutes of this are on the site -- looks to be a good one.

MrX 06-13-06 10:06 PM

Not as good as the first 2 episodes of the season.

Not really a surprise that the probie is gay

The scene towards the end with Franco, Tommy, and Sean was hilarious.

"I was a forte free safety"

Cory02 06-13-06 10:24 PM

I would have rather had the usual musical montage at the end instead of a continuation of the probie's slow descent into gayness.

Garrity the horse whisperer was great. "Take a minute if you need it Sean."

I really like the angry, defiant Tommy (as opposed to the angry, drunken Tommy). Loved his conversation with his soon-to-be-ex.

All in all, a great episode. Not as great as the last couple, but they were so great they raised to bar too high. More Uncle Teddy would be nice, though.

Patman 06-13-06 10:29 PM

What I like about this show is that time just flies by, it's just so delicious at times. Tonight's episode was a well needed "cool-down" episode, with just enough subplots simmering for future pay-offs this season.

Michael T Hudson 06-13-06 10:46 PM

Probie with his mom on the phone was great.

Patman 06-13-06 10:56 PM

I about lost it when Lou shoplifted/stuffed "Tao of Pooh" down his pants after trying to wrestle a copy of it from Probie (for his own good, of course).

Ranger 06-13-06 11:05 PM

Was pretty surprised about Damien using the drugs. I actually did really beleive that he could do it 3 or 4 times an hour since he's a teenager. It'd even be more creepier if he already figured that turbody wouldn't do anything about it if he got caught since she'd lose her job.

Wonder if Jerry and Lou will team up for a bank robbery.

Achtung 06-13-06 11:07 PM

It'll be interesting to see if "The Tao of Pooh" goes up on Amazon.com's sales rankings.

Great episode, thought it was great to see Tommy and Franco screwing with Sean, even if I kinda figured it out before they revealed it.

Red Dog 06-14-06 06:39 AM

An aptly named episode. Tommy torturing Sean was rotfl.

Probie's reveal wasn't really that big of a revelationl. My wife asked me if I was surprised (she's never consistently watched the show) and I said they have dropped a few hints over the years that make it believable. His conversation on the phone and w/ Lou were classic.

"Hey Janet."

He better keep visiting Uncle Teddy at least every other ep.

I think I will buy "The Tao of Pooh"...for my daughter.

Crap, i missed the last few minutes, can someone fill me in quick (i'm taping it on friday, but don't wanna wait).

It cut off as chief was entering the bar looking for a job.

Same here. That was with padding as well.

Count yourself lucky. I was gone & missed the whole thing. :hairpull: What time does it come on Friday?

So, I'm assuming by that exchange that Tommy knows about Garrity's relationship w/ his sister and obviously doesn't care, right?

He's known since the party when he took the cherry out of her drink. He cares, but his sister fucking a co-worker isn't on the same level as his brother schtooping his wife. Hence the tormenting w/ Franco.

That's kind of what I thought, but it was subtle enough on the show where I couldn't tell one way or another.

I think all you missed was at the Probie's apartment. There's a guy there, I'm not sure if we've seen him before, and Probie and him are talking about something. Then they both sit on the couch, the probie puts his head on the guys shoulder and the guy puts his head next to the probies.

uteotw 06-14-06 12:48 PM

Good ep., but I hope it doesn't turn into Johnnycakes a la The Sopranos and drag the Probie thing on and on. Just not that interesting to me. Loved the exchange between Tommy & his wife at the station; not sure where they're going with the whole Franko/Susan Sarandon thing though...

thematahara 06-14-06 01:08 PM

Good episode, not as good as last week, but that would be hard to accomplish. Loved all the Sean and Tommy scenes, as well as the Horse stuff.

It wouldnt bother me if the Probie transferred, as I have always felt he was the weak link of the cast.

Cant wait to see more of Lou's storyline.

El Scorcho 06-14-06 01:17 PM

Probie's the most dull character out of the bunch. If he disappeared I would hardly notice.

Patman 06-14-06 04:31 PM

When Probie wouldn't give up "The Tao of Pooh", his lack of acting range was on full display. Lou was killing him in that scene.
