"Kaisha"
Tony gets Carmela's career back on track; Chris picks up where Tony left off; AJ gets a work perk; Phil won't let well enough alone.
And with this, my 2005-2006 TV season is concluded.

I'm guessing they'll leave us with plenty to ponder after tonight. Shit with Phil and NY is definitely going to be interesting.
Do we know what "Kaisha" is? It's not Chris's wife (they did get married, right?), is it?

Spoiler:
I have a feeling this episode will just set up the final 8 episodes and nothing will happen. I hope I am wrong though. When are they supposed to air the final 8 anyway.

Well, I was right. This ep. was almost devoted entirely to Christopher, and the part with him and Jules in the theater with the double exposure and music almost had me barfing. I guess Paulie is okay with AJ having that girl? Uncle Junior was in maybe four scenes this whole season; I was beginning to think he was just being left in the home for good.
My guess about next season is that it will pick up right where this one left off and be in tandem with the January/February time period during which it airs, if they plan to do it then.
Overall, this was probably the most uneventful season finale I have seen from anything in a long time.

Well, it was all setup and no action, though the film language made it pretty obvious that Chris has a big bullseye on his chest re: Phil's retribution. The final Christmas card shot could have made a great series ending, and that was the point I think. As much as we want all these characters to be happy, the truth is that they are a pack of criminals and murderers and many of them are bound to get their comeuppance in the last eight episodes.

No love for Entourage or Deadwood? I might cancel it until next season starts after these two end their seasons though, since there's no Rome this year.

Right now I will only watch the last eight eps. for the sake of completion and nothing else.

I would have voted "pretty good" if not for this last episode. Thus, I voted "poor." Didn't really leave me hanging for the next 8 episodes, nothing really happened tonight. Boring!

My predictions
Jules is an FBI agent (getting chris to talk, showed up out of nowhere, popping up in the right places at the right times)
Blanco is pregnant (lots of sex going on and she didn't go for the wine)
The Soprano house gets shot up.

Did that episode play in fast forward for anyone else? The pacing threw me off a little. Oh well, definately a weird season that was. I'm not one to complain about the lack of mafia type shit but the season was a little lacking in that department. I thought they spent way too much time on Vito being gay and his subsequent death. During the season I was getting disappointed and wanting more. Now that it's over I can see the big picture of the season and it's theme. Overall I'm pretty happy with it.
The Sopranos has us so far into the minds of these characters it's unreal. We've seen Tony and Christopher go from chasing down people who owe them money to issues over seeing the same girl. AJ has gone from a chubby little kid to a troubled teen to now a young man dating an older single Mom who's proud to have a job. You can go on and on about each character like that. And that's what makes The Sopranos an awesome show to me.

Man, Carmella will just not Adrianna go in peace, will she? Pretty slick of Tony to get the spec house rolling again just to keep her busy.
Pussyboy A.J. giving up his bike to get rid of the punks. Classic. Then gets laid for it.
Funniest fucking moment of the whole season was when Blanca said, "You have a lovely home." and Carmella looks right at the camera and say, "Yes, we do."
I was half-expecting her to finish with, "From our family to yours, Happy Holidays!"
