LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is getting a boost as broadcast sibling FOX plans to air three episodes of the series on Sundays at 9:30/8:30c beginning June 11.

Said installments, all repeats from the show's first season, are designed to hype its upcoming sophomore run, set to begin Thursday, June 29 at 10:00/9:00c on FX.

"Philadelphia" averaged just 1.14 million viewers for its seven episodes last summer, making its exposure on FOX a much-needed promotion.

Certainly a funnier show than most of the new comedies Fox has tried recently.

Smart move.

Awesome. Hopefully more people will discover this underrated comedy.

I think it is too smart/quirky to do anything on Fox. I just hope this does not hurt it's chances of returning next season on FX.

better than nothing I suppose.

I have never seen this show and want to, so I was hoping for a dvd release before season 2 began......or the entire show rerun.

Meh - they'll have to probably have to go through edits to satisfy the PTC and FCC Nazis.
