I can't wait either. I sounds like it's going to be a hit. However, the second half of the season will be going against 24, which is problematic.

So has NBC finally given up on a two-hour block of sitcoms on Thursday nights?

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip looks to be an Aaron Sorkin "dramedy".
A behind-the-scenes look at a fictional sketch-comedy TV show.
In any case, I think it is about time NBC tried to shake things up a bit. And if Scrubs doesn't return until January like it did this year, I'm cool with consecutive new episodes instead of huge gaps with repeats.

I wish they would just let Scrubs air every week without all of these delays.

Hey, getting it away from the #1 show in America (CSI) and instead up against an aging reality show (Survivor) can only help it in the ratings department.

Me neither. My DVR can record two shows at once.

That timeslot was already booked with Survivor and Smallville.

Looks like I'm dropping Survivor.

Kinda suprised that NBC took both 30 Rock and Studio 60, since they're so close to each other thematically. Does this mean Tina Fey's finally leaving as head writer at SNL?

Glad to see that info about "Rains" coming next year in the linked post. Not a huge Goldblum fan, but anything that Graham Yost does, I'm on board.

Also glad to see The Apprentice taking a hiatus. It REALLY needed one.

Interesting to see about Football Night In America. I assume Bob Costas hosts that. Looks like my days of watching NFL Primetime are done. Sorta glad about that as Chris Berman is really getting on my nerves.

Wow, actually a number of new shows there that sound interesting.

Also:
Also for mid-season, NBC can draw upon such new comedies as "The Singles Table," depicting a group of witty and single strangers who meet, console and befriend each other at a wedding, and "Andy Barker, P.I.," starring Andy Richter, who re-teams with co-writer and executive producer Conan O'Brien (NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien") as an earnest CPA who embraces the unlikely chance to become a private detective.

Wow, it looks like I'll only be watching The Office and maybe My Name Is Earl if I ever get caught up on that show. Depending on what it's up against, I may give Studio 60 a look.

Get your act together, NBC. Half your damn lineup is Law & Order and Howie Mandel!

The NFL mandated that there could not be a competing highlights show on when the NBC studio show is airing. Thankfully Berman is losing one of his showcases.

If that new Sorkin show is just half as good as Sports Night or early West Wing ,NBC has me locked on thursdays (well at least for that show and Office).

The same poor treatment that Fox gives it's two most popular shows (24 and American Idol)?

So no more NFL Primetime? Sure the commentary sucked, but it was great to see the HD highlights and get caught up on games.

Thursday sounds like Gold. Love office and earl and Studio is my most anticipated fall show. Heroes sounds great, as well as the new Andy Richter show... some very solid stuff. I'd be fuming if scrubs wasn't back, so thank god for that. I was holding onto a sliver of hope for Surface, but not too surprised it didn't come back...
